Need to get back into Lding

I used to wake up between 3-5am every night and I was able to go and write my dreams down without trouble. But now I wake up at more random times and I am too tired too be bothered to write my dreams down. It may because I've finished school now and my sleep routines changed.

I also have trouble waking myself up enough to bother with my dream journal. Have you tried sleeping with your notebook in your arms or sleeping on top of it? It's awkward but it does help motivate you a little. Another idea that may help you recall dreams better is to use a mantra like, "I will remember my dreams". This could cause you to be able to recall your dreams in the morning when you're awake enough to write them down.

You could also of course try to get your sleep schedule back on track. I don't know a whole lot about doing that however.

What u could do is just write some words that describe your dream when u wake up, even if u 'forget' ur dream those words should bring it back. Works for a lot of people! and when u feel like it u can write it all down in ur dream journal.

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.

It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.

My sleep schedule has been messed up since summer started in a simailar fashion to yours. Without having to get my kids off to school it can be hard to wake up timely.

Even when I had a regular schedule there were mornings when I couldn't write down my dreams right away. On those days I would write down keywords or phrases that would help me recall the dream later on.

My dreams tend to be pretty lengthy, at least the ones I recall, so it can take me a long time to write down a detailed dream, especially with kids wanting food, time on the PS3, swimming, etc. I solve my dilemma by writing down key-phrases that help link scenes in my dream. Then, when I have time, I write them out in detail on my computer. It's a proven method for a lot of people on the forum.

Some people on the forum have also used their voice-recorder on their phone to record dreams. Even an old tape-recorder or small digital recorder might make the difference. If you have a device that will record audio from a microphone it might be worth a try.

      Hope that helps! Happy dreaming!

A good way to edit your sleep schedule is by moving the time you have breakfast and dinner.
