how vivid does it get ?

If you do the stabilization part right, does it feel like real life, walking around in the city, feel your jeans against your legs, hear car horns and sirens, conversing with other people, be able to breath and blink and swallow etc etc. because i read everywhere that you have like more fingers, being able to push a finger through your hand and you have a blur vision and stuf, that doesnt sound vivid to me im reallly really excited and i hope i can get good answers both from beginners and experianced lucid dreamers. thanks

People report different levels of vividness, with some saying MORE real than real life. I have had 2 experiences now that blew my mind, they were so real, it was as good as waking. I was, and still am, in total awe.

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

It doesn't even have to be lucid, I know because I haven't gotten there yet. But I have had dreams that when I awoke I realized how strikingly real it was despite NOT realizing how ridiculous Ice cream men in space is. Among other dreams.

I have had incredibly vivid lucid dreams but the thing is not all your senses are activated fully, Although my sight was 2x better than real life I couldn't smell.

That's interesting, I have never even thought about smell in my dreams. It's never even crossed my mind. I'm gonna make a point of trying to smell something in the next dream!

Have you tried to taste something? Please tell me you've tried!

If you haven't then summon a cookie right away!

When I'm lucid in my dreams, they are indeed much more real then reality. It's an amazing feeling!
My brother told me that he summoned a lot of cakes and various sweets in his lucid dream and the sensation, as reported by him, was something out of this world. Every taste was enhanced a hundredfold! I have yet to try this but I will next time.

      Techniques include;

Shouting VIVIDNESS NOW! with a lot of confidence
Studying an object up close, normally causes that object to become more vivid and focuses
Putting on some glasses make your vision better
Practicing ADA and taking note of details in waking life
Rubbing your hands to stabilize, always makes the dream more real and vivid for me.

Just interacting with your environment is the best technique.

Do you remember lucid dreams better than you remember normal dreams? because when i wake up trin to remember my normal dreams i dont remember any details or so i just remember a short ''scene'' or something like that in NORMAL DREAMS.

My first lucid was the most vivid but I've only had 2 that I can control. At the time it blew me away and the buzz I got was pretty imense. unforunatly i have forgetten how real it looked like but i couldn't fall asleep for 3-4 hours after i had (was in my first rem cycle and woke up) so it must of been pretty crazy to give me that much of a hype

I believe the quote below has your answer:

It can get vivid, trust me. As an experienced lucid dreamer, most of my lucids feel just as real as waking life. Some dreams feel "ultra" realistic and seem even realer. Then again, I do get a few lucids which aren't that vivid. Most people beginning to lucid dream tend not to have as vivid dreams as a more advanced dreamer. Vividness varies from person to person. It depends on imagination, stabilization, nutrition, awareness, and dream recall.

I think it depends on the dream because I have had both third and first person dreams. I guess if you want to view in 3rd person in your LD, you mentally think about it and *bam*.

I used to think that dreams were always fuzzy. Shouting "CLARITY NOW!" works quite well for me. In my dream from last night, I had to shout that every three or four seconds in order for it to be clear. In fact, that dream was the most vivid I've ever had.

It usually depends on your mood during the dream. For me it switches a lot.

I had one recently where I shouted 'STABILIZE' several times and that cleared things right up for a little while. A lot of my dreams are murky or blurry in some areas, even when lucid. I don't think I'm stabilizing enough before I try to explore.
