An LD can reproduce just about any effect. You are likely to already feel very weird if you focus on how the dream feels. The things you look at will likely have a look that is like being 'high.' The visuals may shimmer or warp.
So, LDing is normally like a mind altered state. I think that if you already have life experience with 'getting high' then it would be simple for the dream to recreate this.
I am older than many memeber and back in the day, I experimented witha few drugs. Back then I had some dreams, where during an RC I felt so stoned and the visuals looked just like LSD would cause, that I was not sure if I was LDing, or if I had accidently to way too much of something.

P.S. Don't do drugs, drugs are bad, MmmKay? (South Park), but maybe recreating the effect in an LD is a good alternative.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

Depends on how often you get high, and how accustomed to it you are. For example, If one has never done any sort of drug, they wouldn't experience the same feeling as an individual who has tried it. If you get high a lot, getting high in your dreams will be a lot easier. Yes, it is possible. No, I don't think it's worth it

Does a DC spontaneously stop existing when you forget it's there?

Can you create/design new drugs in a LD? For instance you say you have a pill that will instantly put you in a state of pure extacy where everything turns into soft happy things that communicate with you. Will eating that pill produce those effects?

Yes! Although as it has been mentioned before, the effects may be different to the real-life effects.
