      Awareness is sometimes harder even when awake

      Ever spent a couple seconds looking for a pen or anything when your literally holding it, or its right in front of you? I do, sometimes.

      I have 2 light switches for the stairs one at the top one at the bottom. when i go down stairs i switch it on from the top. Coming back up i reach up to it to turn it on even though i clearly see the light is on and the stairway is lit, my mind just doesn't register it for a minor second, then i realise oh silly me HAHA.

      I don't have a chance in lucid dreaming

      Awareness can be built through exercise. Just about any mental training should help. Staying drug free helps too. Welcome to Dream Views by the way.

      I assure you you do have an entire chance. Any exercise that involves awareness and focus would help. As Sivason said, things like awareness can be trained and improved. Find ways to exercise greater awareness and reduce mental clutter; be creative. If you smoke pot, cutting back (if not stopping) will help with that, and in the time I've been here we seem to have come to a general consensus that it isn't conducive to lucid dreaming.

      Ok thanks guys. Awareness added to my journey to lucid dreaming list, and i can assure you i do not smoke or drink, thank goodness haha.
