Can lucid dreaming satisfy your lust for blood?

What do you think of this?

I figured the people who like to hunt might be better learning to lucid dream and hunt animals in their dreams. It might slow down the number of people who want to shoot defenceless animals for sport.

If you have Twitter, I've written a post about it. Inside the post you can click a sentence which will send a tweet to Bob Parsons, the GoDaddy CEO who took a video of him killing an elephant. I'd appreciate if you could tweet it if you have twitter.

Here is the post - Can Lucid Hunting Satisfy Your Lust For Blood?

      Cheers

I'm all for it, but i don't think anybody will listen to it sadly. People are gonna do what they wanna do, and if they like to kill helpless animals well lucid dreaming isn't gonna change a thing.. but it's always nice to try!

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.

It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.

I think ld could change a lot of things in the future, but you're right, if people want to kill they will. Hopefully the people who do it for fun might change their mind.

Nah, I don't think it will change anybody like that. People are still going to do what they enjoy... if you love sex, you're still going to want to do it in waking life... same with drugs... same with everything you enjoy.

If anything I would expect these people to have lucid dreams about hunting.

Still, it is nice to see someone thinking about positive changes for the future.

I for one, like sex. I sometimes have great sex LDs, but it has not lessened my desire to do it in real life. Just trying to be cute here. I think that for a hunter who gave up hunting, they could derive the full range of exileration and blood lust in a hunting LD. I guess the chances of it changing someones desire to actually hunt, depends on that persons own take on hunting, and if it is bad. I think a young priest could experience a nice sex life in his LDs because he has decided to give sex up in real life, but not too many people who hunt, view it as anything they wish to quit.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

Maybe you're right. Still, if 1 person decides to stop it could save a hundred animals from dying.

Most hunters I know don't hunt just for the heck of killing a defenseless animal. Most also want that animal for it's meat. Some might enjoy LDing about hunting all the same, however I can imagine a hunter still wanting to do it in waking life.

I plan on going hunting one of these days, but having a LD about it doesn't appeal to me at all. I can enjoy eating venison in a dream perhaps, but it just isn't the same.

I see your point and sure, i'm sure if could satisfy SOME people's need to hunt but I agree with most of the people above. People will still do it in real life. Nice thoughts, though.

Edit: You live in Edinburgh? I'm going there for the Fringe Festival 2013

People hunt for the thrill of the hunt. There's no way you could recreate that in a lucid dream.

There is one thing you forget and that is ego. Killing Dream creatures I it may stop their blood lust but ego is another thing. Nobody will know what the have done plus if a person is that messed up whether it be from child hood or what have you I doubt their dream characters will simply take it the may be more insane than the dreamer.

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

Maybe you can lucid dream your an elephant hunting Bob Parsons. At least it will be a stress reliever.
