Thread: Astral Projecting, is it really outside of mind? or just another Lucid dream?

Anyone care to explain the best they can about AP to me?
This has been my main goal that has led me to LD'ing, but
I started becoming a skeptic, that is why I changed to LD
but is it really different?

Biologically and scientifically are my hopeful answers.
But all answers are welcome.
Please explain for I am ignorant on the topic and am to lazy from my lack of sleep to unravel the threads of google and the forum for this topic

Scientifically speaking, there is no proof yet that astral projection exists, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist, there just is no proof yet. I have never experienced an AP before so i can't tell you if it exists or not, so the only way to really find out is to do it yourself, so give it a shot. However, learning how to lucid dream is the stepping stone to something like astral projecting. Practice lucid dreams for a little before attempting an AP. Good luck!

I've heard different sides to this, some say it's real, others believe it just is a Lucid Dream. I've heard stories of weird aliens, ghosts and monsters all appearing whilst in AP but this is also something a LD can conjure up. So I'd have to agree with jblb2424 in saying that you have to take a leap of faith and try it for yourself.

There are lots of different opinions surrounding AP and OBE. I personally think that it's just another lucid dream, but obviously people have different beliefs! If anything, lucid dreaming is the way to go to get into AP. It'll teach you control and such

I believe it's not a LD. Some things in the world just can't be proven

I stumbled upon Astral Projection when I turned to the web after experiencing vibrations in my sleep (sleep paralysis), then I got more into lucid dreaming.

In my lucid dreams I often try and find 'proof' that there is more to it than just a dream, like something I can corroborate in the real world. So far I've been unable to.

There is no proof AP exists, but that's just it, no proof....so it's pretty subjective.

I always have Dreams where i am floating down a dark spooky streets at night,i really cant tell if they are dreams or O.B.E..it feels so real and it's like the people that see me gets scared..start pointing at me or just run away,and these dreams start from my house......
