      so confused -_-

i am so confused now... ive been trying WILD with WBTB the past few nights but when my phone wakes me up im either too tired to try to get into SP or i just cant remember why i wanted to wake up.

im starting to think that i need a new technique but i know that its not good to change techniques too much.... my first 2 LDs were both DILD (yes ive had 2 dont go by my profile cause i havent gotten to a computer yet to change it..) but they were almost coincidence and werent very vivid or long.

my dream recall is way better than it used to be.. usually 3 dreams a night unless something wakes me up.

i dont usually wake up much in my sleep (that im aware of anyway) but i wake up at any noise that is remotely loud (i wake up every morning at 6 since my mom and dad are freakishly loud plus theres a construction down the street and i sleep with my window open) so i tried to WILD then but i was too awake.

its freakishly annoying and ive tried going to bed earlier but my sister is ignorant and watches tv til 1am so i cant sleep until around 2 or 2:30 sometimes later....

so yeah i guess this is a bit impossible to help me with but if anyone could help at all it would be very helpful

If that's your reasoning for having difficulty with WILD I would not give up on it. If you keep forgetting why you set the alarm put a little note next to it saying "WILD!" or something similar. If you're too tired then just imagine all the amazing things you can do in a lucid dream. Let your mind run wild. This will also help you stay relaxed and not get too awake but also not wake you up so much that you have difficulty falling asleep. If your parents make a lot of noise try sleeping with your door closed so it's harder to hear them. You could also close your window right when you fall asleep so it's still open during the day for fresh air and then just reopen it when you wake up. This will quiet down the construction a little bit but hopefully they'll finish soon.

However if you really want to try a different technique (which I don't recommend at this point) WBTB/MILD would probably be your best bet. As you fall asleep after your WBTB just repeat in your head a mantra saying something like "I will have a lucid dream tonight" or anything similar. It just has to be related to lucid dreaming or whatever goal you're trying to accomplish.

MILD is the way to go for all beginners if you ask me. All of Burke's advice is good and worth following. WILD/WBTB sound so easy and straight forward, but they require that you have great discapline and are able to basically meditate. Really look into MILD. Repeating a mantra as you fall asleep is proobably the most effective MILD, but checck out the DVA class for others. Really learn the conccept behind RCs and make sure you do a mental RC at the same time. Queestion how you got where you are and stuff like that.
Learn to wear ear plugs, they are sold at the pharmacy. At first they may be uncomfortable, but you can get used to them and they block almost all noise.

I agree with sivason. Learning to MILD is a great way to start out lucid dreaming. I also learned that WILD was a big no no for me when starting out. You can also combine MILD with the All Day Awareness technique and reality checking for maximum effect. Good luck!
