Just say "I will remember my dream tonight" over and over in your head just before you sleep. |

Ok so iv been hearing how people when they get a dream book they remember a TON of dreams. And they become more clearer. The problum is that iv had a dream book for while now (since the summer)and nothing really to extrordinary has happened. I might remember my dreams a little more, but not much. Also there still really not clear at all. I might remember a little here and there and it is annoying! I would also remember dreams in like a cycle. Its like its on and off. If i dont have a dream to wright down then i dont remember the dream that night ,and this keeps on happening till i remember a smidge and wright it down. Like cupcakes. |

A good idea would be to remind yourself before falling asleep that you will remember your dreams when you wake up and put your mind into "Dream recall mode". A good way to do that is read your DJ before going to bed and think about the dreams as clearly as possible. |

Consider your current lifestyle and state of mind. Are you constantly stressed, drinking, smoking, going to bed late and waking up early? All these things will factor into your ability to recall dreams each night despite your, I'm sure, wistful dream journal entries. Keep at it, change your routine, and WANT it. The moment you recognize that your desire to dream has become a habit is the moment you will feel yourself becoming a more successful and fervent dreamer. AND REMEMBER: everyone is different and everyone goes through dry spells : D |

Also, the more details in your DJ, the better recall. You can sit and fetch extra occurrences out of your dreams for a long time if you have the will. |

Yea, iv definitely heard of the I will remember my dream thing. another thing iv heard is that u wright something on the back of ur hand like I'm in a dream or awareness. then I think I will do the old I will remember thing and look at my book. Another thing is that I usually on the weekdays I go to bed around 10:00-10:30 and wake up at 7:00 but on the weekends I usually go to bed at around 1:00-2:00 (teenage life) and wake up at 8:30 at the earliest but I usually wake up at 9:30. Also 8th grade can be a little stressing. Could all this be a problem? Also my main goal is to do a WILD but I was told I need to remember my dreams better to do it. |

Yes, stress is detrimental to progress. |

arrgh! i read my dream journal, said i am dreaming all freaking day, and i said to myself i will remember my dreams intill i fell asleep. still no cigar. then again i did go to bed at 2... |

You might just be trying too hard and be frustrating yourself... It can happen. It's like when you keep telling yourself you need to sleep but can't and you stress about it and it's not helping.... If that made any sense... |
|
perhaps even go to the lengths of recording a subliminal tape to play on a low volume while you sleep with some phrase like 'i will remember my dreams' etc playing on a loop |
|
The key is not just recording them, but using that to expand your remembering of what you do recall. Make sure you're straining to remember as much detail as you can when recording in your DJ, and write down enough to remind you of it all. Also, try to remember as much as you can as you go through the day, rereading your entries if necesary. This will ensure you're actually expanding your recall ability by consistently using it to its maximum. |

wow i never realy thought of my book to expand my remembering. Tonight (if i even remember a dream) i will sit there for like 5 min and try to remember as much as i can... |
