So recently on another forum I frequent a discussion has sparked about talking to one's subconscious in a Lucid Dream. Though I haven't experienced this phenomena yet, and definitely plan to I am curious as to what you all think. |

This is what my friend has experienced. You see he is very good at meditation and he found these special binaural beats designed to let you speak to your subconcious. He says after awhile he found himself in a blank room with himself and this...black mass. It freaked him out so bad that he snapped out of his trance. He thinks it was his inner darkness or inner demon. |

I heard that treating your subconscious as some kind of separate entity you can communicate with is a load of tosh. |

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
Aren't dreams just reflections of your subconscious? So aren't you technically talking to your subconscious whenever you speak to someone in a dream? I don't know, honestly. I don't know if this is what you mean, but once I had a non-lucid dream in which I spoke with (or rather spoke at) a man who looked like me only with long black hair and bright orange eyes. I was talking to him for awhile, asking him all these questions, but he would just stare at me. Then, I asked him who he was and for the first and only time he answered. He said, "A part of you". His voice was virtually indescribable. It was like there were 3 or 4 people speaking in unison. It almost had a sort of melody to it... very strange. |

I don't know either for sure, but I know there are (or have been) people on DV who will know. I'm quite rubbish at putting stuff like this into words but I believe the, "Talk to your subconscious and get insights!" thing is flawed (maybe flawed rather than incorrect). |

I had a very interesting dream with my subconscious telling me things I did not know. Or maybe I did know, but I just totally forgot. Either way, it was a very fascinating experience |
