Thread: Talking with your subconscious.

I personally don't believe that speaking to your subconscious is possible, because every time I tried, it ended in failure. I ended up hearing a voice that just repeated everything I said. But who knows, there's probably people here that have done something like you posted about.

Ah, talking with the subconcious, your dream = subconcious (Even thought I don't like that word much...), so if you know how to look, it is easy to talk to it, if you want it to be impersonated into an human DC, then you could try asking it, or trying to teleport to. Welcome!

But my main concern is, can I really trust my subconscious; why wouldn't it be able to lie?

Who says it wouldn't? It will most likely show itself based on what you expect it to be, so try not to build false assumptions before trying, or you might make the experience bad waaaay before it happens.
Also, is there any reason for it to lie? I doubt so.

If everything is just what your expecting doesn't that ruin it all? I mean if I talk to ANYONE in my dream it will only be what I think they'll say, right?

No no no, it will most likely, because you already have a strong idea in mind of what it will be like, I mean, you don't think much about what the landscapes and the plot will be about, now do you? That is the work of the subconcious too, so no problem if you don't make assumptions before trying.

I don't think you can, my talk with my subconsious(if it really was) was more like the subconsious decides what would happen I could only listen to what she had to say don't think she wanted to help me with my selfish needs.

Hm, I have a question for puffin ladusence, how did you try to talk with your subconcious?

Well, If I could be conscious of my subconsious, then one would have a pair of oxymorons. Then someone could invent a mental cart and it could at least be pulled somewhere.

lol not be concious, get info out of it by knowing where to watch. Like, wondering about something that always happens in a dream.

You have a wonderful way with contradictions. Knowing means perception. Knowledge is comprised of two words, know and ledger, or book of perceptions, or memory.

languages are the methods we craft from perceptions. So one is saying that there are two of us, each crafting from the same perceptions and are having some kind of contest or social life. Wow.

If I could be as stupid as S. Freud, I could probably understand it.

I meant to say you can get info out of your subconcious (Which is what builds up your dream) by asking yourself why it shows the way it does. But really, I worded it that way to make it more clear, I'm not really fond of making things complicated so the person who asked won't understand whatever the heck I said.

You're making the assumption that dreams are of internal origin or of internal origin only.

I, on the other hand, have had a lot of experience which denies it.

The gravest error is the assumption that the mind has two language centers, one devoted to what you call the conscious and the other to the subconscious. Physical facts do not hold that as valid.

I do edit a lot, as I am at work, in a factory, on a company machine, and must keep my machine running.

Maybe you should ask first, try to translate whatever it says, probobly something illogic(in theory) and then you shall see.

All of my experiments with it have produced quite logical results--however, it is stuff I could not have come up with. It has often taken me years to understand a results. In all, it has pushed me in the right direction in understanding principles of langauge never directly published. The closest has been in the works of Plato.

Well it was a Dream Character who was making more then clear that it was my subconsious to me :S Dont know if it really was though.
