Kinda Negitive Idea ( dont read if ur only here for encouragment)

My question is why is it supposedly easier after your first? Could it be that its just an idea on ur mind because we want it to be? Like practice makes perfect? But if laws don't apply in dreams why should that one? I mean I tried for only two weeks before I had my first lucid and had another only two days later, so I feel it may hold water, but is that just because I thought it was true? I'm sorry if this brings anyone down, fore that's not my intention, but from a scientific stand point, is there any evidence to back the theory?

No I think it's easier because you know the feeling of dreaming and being lucid. You also get much more motivated by having a lucid dream which makes you less stressed out about the next nights and therefore works in your favor. But I don't think there is any scientific explanation to why it works. Why would it be a negative idea?

Yes it's extremely scientific. By experiencing that first lucid dream, RC and gain of awareness we are building up prospective memory.

"Prospective memory is a form of memory that involves remembering to perform a planned action or intention at the appropriate time."

Using mantra's, RC's and awareness techniques we are preparing and telling ourselves to wake up during a dream, however the best practise is actually when becoming lucid.

Example: Imagine that you want to call your friend everytime you wake up. However you only tell yourself you want to call but do not actually undertake the action. What will happen is that your brain will not store the action in the prospective memory and you will forget about it as soon as you stop saying matras. The moment you start actually phoning a friend every moring eventually it will become habit and you will no longer rely on techniques.

Ok I was jus wondering. And the negative part would be jus killing some hopes and dreams incase I stumbled upon some revolutionary idea that changed the minds of thousands, riots break out all over the world, governments are over thrown. I thought this thread would be for the strong minded only.

When i first started to lucid dream, before I had my first, I was full of negativity because I thought I was never going to have one and then as soon as I had my first, it shot up my motivation and the feeling of "I can't do this" faded and I knew that I could if I put the effort in
