      Weird Experience Last Night

Hello everyone, last night I woke up about 5 hours into sleep for a meteor shower. The shower was a total failure, so I went to bed around 10 minutes later. Before I crawled in bed, I decided I would go on DV and read around for a bit, remembering what I've read about the WBTB technique. When I decided it was time for me to sleep, I tried a MILD. During the visualization stage, I was hit with horrible vibrations. I was calm at first, but the vibrations began to scare me, and I jolted awake. I was so shocked that I did not get to sleep for about another hour. When I woke up this morning, I only remembered a few fragments of the dream I had, and it was most certainly not lucid. I'm still confused as to why I got the vibrations when I wasn't attempting a WILD, does anyone have any answers?

Well, what is WILD? Laying in bed trying to fall asleep.
What did you do with MILD? Lay in bed trying to fall asleep.
You wake up for a restroom and then what you do? Lay in bed trying to fall asleep.

You see what I did there? You can get vibrations at all these times. And not just vibrations, but any other sensation associated with falling asleep process. HH (hypnogoic hallucinations) and be visual, tactile or auditory.

You were on your way to a lucid dream via WILD.

Every time I read how someone interupted this process, so close to lucid dream, because they didn't know what to expect, makes me wanna cry. Please read as many threads in WILD forum as you can. Many of them mention HH, so next time you are ready for anything and enter lucid dream. Happy dreams

Wow, I really wish I could have been better prepared for that. I'm so bummed that I missed a chance for a lucid.. I'll go educate myself so next time this happens I won't miss the opportunity. Thanks for letting me know

Here is a great WILD (sageous) tutorial. Don't worry, there will be more opportunities like this one. Get up for WBTB like you did for meteor shower. BTW, I got up around 4am for same reason, but was totally cloudy. Too bad, really wanted to see the shower.

I found that tutorial, and have been reading it. I can't wait for another opportunity like the one I missed. Also, the shower was pretty lame. I didn't see any meteors. My dad, who was up about an hour before me, didn't see any either, even though we had a clear sky. Maybe next time!

It can be closer than you think. Drink some water before bed and then every time you get up for a bathroom. I get vibrations sometimes when I do that, or when I wake up to just change sleeping position. Just be aware that it happens and you should start noticing it more often.

Another great method is DEILD. When you wake up from a dream and you don't move, you can enter another dream lucidly.
