I haven't had anything to dream journal. Mostly I've been waking up with interruptions that are followed by more interruptions, so the whole process of trying to remember what I was dreaming about falls apart.
Well, then you do know the reason why you don't remember your dreams - interruptions. That's something you need to work on.

But if you are having peacefull sleep and still don't remember your dreams, you can still dream journal. You have to break the cycle somehow.

Write down even if all you remember is just one word, a feeling, color, ... And write "My memory is great and my recall is geting better every day". It will sooner or later become tru.

You can also try mantras, like
"I remember my dreams"
"I wake up after each dream and remember it"

And you can try drinking water, that will wake you up at night a few times. Hopefully, sometimes it will be straight after your REM (when we already wake, just don't remember it) and you will remember your dream. Hope this helps. Happy dreams.
