Did anyone else have this dream, when they were younger? (usually when ill/feverish) A friend and I were talking today about dreams we had when we were younger. As I tried to start explaining a reoccuring dream i used to have when i was ill, my friend fgrew quiet and knew exactly what I meant. Here is what we both described: (apologies, very hard to explain) It would start, in the corner of the room. It was some kind of matter that looked like clay, or rubber. It was be a thin line, almost like a converyer belt, but much smaller. We were unable to look at the matter as if seen directly, it would disappear from sight. The speed of the matter changed, sometimes painfully slow, before becoming erratic and moving up and down (almost like one of those machines that draw lines when measuring heart rate) The soiarity of the matter also changed frequently, becoming harder and then soft. The same would happen in terms of density, when the line would become thcker, thinner, wider then smaller, sharper and more blunt) When waking, we bother remember feeling uncomfortable. It felt like you needed to do something with the matter, but we were unable to touch it or look at it. This dream occured for both of us when we had a fever. If anyone else has had a dream like this then please contact us, as it seems a little too coincidental we are both describing the same dream. We are not childhood friends, we met recently at university, therefore we could not have been influenced by the same thing! Let me know if it is just me and my friend! Ellie and Enya x

I think I had a dream, which went something along those lines you wrote. It would either be thin or thick, sometimes changing in the dream. It would be as if my palm touched the thick/thin string and my hand would move up and down. What I remember the most is the feeling of running your palm up and down of something, which very much resembled fishing line. Or something really thick, which was kind of clay-ish. I would always wake up with a very uncomfortable feeling, almost like if I had to puke. Sometimes when I think of it or touch something, which reminds me of the dreams, I get that same feeling just in a quite weak version.

I get something similar to this. i feel like i'm grasping something very thin like fishing line or hair but ast the same time as it being thin it's also thick like holding my pillow or something. when i'm feverish it's accompanied by tiny cubes of light that chain react or shatter when touched and this booming voice that echoes as it tells me i've caused a massive disaster. its weird what you dream. but when i'm awake i occasionally get holding feeling on it's own.

Well, I tend to have similiar dreams when I have fever.. very abstract, with some sort of changing matter, which keeps taking on different forms/density - and I feel uncomfortable with it, as if it something isn't quite right. Very hard to explain.

Maybe you are seeing your blind spot? I catch myself noticing it when I'm in sleep paralysis, or when just waking from a dream.

when im sick i always wake in SP and change it into a WILD. No i havent had that dream sorry

ive always had that reoccuring dream where everything was so hot and time was going 200 times faster. When i think of this dream, pictures of ghamorreans from star wars fade into my head... dont know why

I have the same thing in a sense i will see a blank smooth grey bleak landscape and then all of a sudden the smooth flat surface will become jagged and spiky at this point im very distressed the difference would be im awake when it happens sometimes i have a fever sometimes not my mother told me of similar things like impossible tasks such as picking up every bit of dust in a infinite sized room or climbing on spikes

Yes, had a very similar dream to this, very close to what @Skyggefjeld experienced. Basically, I felt a shape, think it was a cube. It was very neutral in color, a mix of grey and beige. I held it in my hands, it felt odd to the touch, like, extremly uncomfortable to hold, yet I kept it in my hands. Whenever I would wake up from this dream in a fever, I almost always threw up. Even a week after that fever incident, whenever I recalled what the cube felt to touch, I could induce throwing up.

Never experienced anything like that. Used to get a sensation (possibly related to HH) where it felt like the room was very tiny or it felt like my hands were gigantic. I've heard a few people say they got that too.
