      Dreams and emotions

Do you find that your dreams reflect the emotions you're having during the day? Or are they completely unrelated?
Also, do you tend to be more lucid and dream more during periods of intense emotions?

I'll pay attention to that tonight but yesterday I was quite stressed and fell asleep stressed. The only dream I remember was about going through and obstacle course and a giant cat attacking people (myself included). Whether there's any correlation, I'm not sure.

I would say that emotions before going to bed greatly influence your whole night, dreams and lucid attempts included.

Dreams are made of thoughts and they reflect your day activities. When you WILDing and you are in bad mood, insecure, scared, you will probably not have a good experience. And the opposite is also true. Not sure about frequency, but if you watch something before bed that leaves a big impact on you, good or bad, you are likely to dream about something related.

So no matter how your day was, when falling asleep, try to recall some previous pleasant dream and keep that thought untill asleep.

I find the emotions in my dreams effect my daily life!
I have more lucids when I am less emotional.

The other morning I woke up, remembered 3 non lucid dreams that were rather ordinary, and my wife said I was crying in my sleep. I can't remember even a hint of a sad dream.

I don't seem to recall any dreams influenced by emotions, but sometimes my dreams influence my emotions of the next day.

On most occassions I have enough control to prohibit unhappy, work related or bad dreams. If however something intense or major happens, then I will have dreams related to it.

My son just had to move back in to the house, and the first night I dreamt that he was throwing a party with out telling us.

I get lucid less during these emotional dreams. It is as if my brain just wants to get it out, so the dreams are harder to interupt.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
