      LD every night

So I'm new to this forum. I guess you could say I have been lucid dreaming naturally since i was around 10. I would have a lucid dream every few months or so. But I have had a fully lucid dream every night since I learned to WILD. I see a lot of people asking how often most people lucid dream. They usually say every week. But I've only JUST started 4 nights ago and I've had 4 lucid dreams. First day I had 1, second day I had 2, third day I had 0, fourth I had one. I got WILD on my first try. I'm not trying to troll or boast or whatever, I'm just curious to if anyone else here caught on that quick. Does anyone else on this forum LD every night? My dreams are usually under 5 minutes and I'm not very good at controlling them yet. But they are VERY vivid. I remember not being able to remember any of my dreams. But I can remember my lucid dreams perfectly.

Lucky natural. I know some people that do IRL, but I cannot yet. Just like everything else in the world, some people are just better at the start then others. I would check out the control forum around here and some stabilizing techniques. Find one that suits you. good luck.

We are in the same boat I have atleast a few moments each night where I realize that I am dreaming, but I rarely maintain it.
(Perhaps not FULLY aware of the fact that I am sleeping, that dream characters aren't real, that I have control, but atleast that it is a dream.)
It begs the question is if you can call this lucidity at all, let's just call it a big burst of awareness in a dream.

But anyway the problem is just full awareness.

That's the difficult part I have perhaps 1 lucid dream each month that feels like 20 min and a few here and there that feels like 5-10 min.

In the beggining I was discouraged because of this, because well lucid dreaming wasn't as enjoyable as I thought, at first.

What I currently use to make these dreams stable and try to master, is dream chaining.

Each time you wake up you increase the critical thinking and when you fall asleep again you increase the realism of the dream because of the two systems of the brain called:

Aminergic and Cholinergic system: Lucid Dream Technique - Brain Chemistry - YouTube

Perhaps that is one of the reasons to why the WBTB is so effective?

And I now found the dreams more realistic and controlable. Waking up and chaining might seem a little risky.

But you got to risk it to get the biscuit.

It's also important for you to set your intent to ground yourself with the dream as soon as you find yourself in it, this can be done simply by screaming "I am dreaming!" as loud as you can or whatever way you find best. I like screaming and acrobatics, so yeah I "look" kind of silly when I ground myself in my dreams. ^-^

By grounding I mean, to connect yourself to the dream, but especially to your dream body. It is something that is easy to overlook because you just assume that you will be in control of it. But have you ever wondered why dreams are sometimes like movies? Well the answer is that because you just experience the dream body as an observer and might not be grounded and feel in control like you do in the physical reality. So if you want control of the dream and not make the dream control your experience so to speak, ground yourself in your dream body!

This took me lots of error, reading and time to find. I hope that you'll find a way to make your mind as controlable and reliable as a press on a button of a Playstation 3, well that's my goal anyway. And great progress from your side!

      Stay lucid and stay awesome!

I've gotten lucid everyday the past 3 days, although I've been using 5-HTP to boost my chances.

Why are my posts appearing in the middle of the thread rather then at the end of it?

Before I came to this forum, I actually had lucid dreams more regularly. When I came here, I read all sorts of posts with people struggling to had lucids. This affected me and my lucid dreams became for spread out. And gradually I stop because of this.

I found that I almost let it get to me. I felt like maybe it was a fluke and I will lose it. during that mindset I couldn't LD anymore. But then I thought, I'm not going to let other peoples difficulties have anything to do with mine. And then I LD that night. I said the same thing to my friend who was struggling. I told him confidence is key, and you have to know you can do it. And he got WILD his first try. So maybe you can increase your LD frequency by being more confident and taking other people out of the equation? I don't know for sure but I feel like I'm doing well so I won't start doubting myself now. I'm sure the day will come where I can't dream for a couple weeks though.

The more you sleep the easier it is to find and time the REM.

6 hours and 30 minutes is usually where I do my WILD and DEILD attempts just because I just have to wake up fall back to sleep, and because I have slept for a few hours my aminergic system is slowly getting more active, and if I wake up from sleep and remember a dream clearly I can just return right back to it, either by DEILDing or by just falling back to sleep. Because when I fall back to sleep my aminergic system is already more active and since I am close to REM as I fall asleep it will be easier to be aware of that dream.

To wake up and fall asleep is actually really easy, just think about the times your alarm clock wakes you up and you just hit the snooze button over and over, it should be like that. Lazy, effortless and awesome. It's best to use an alarm that has autosnooze of course, I use an app on my ipad, although if you just to hit snooze then go right back to sleep it won't hurt as much, the problem though is that, that snoozing time is very short but you can do it just to see the power of waking up and returning to sleep.

      Happy Snoozing!

Thanks for the input, glad I'm not a freak haha. I'm usually pretty lucid, but yeah I have had dreams where I'm aware that I'm dreaming but I don't act consciously. Wow I will need to look into chaining dreams today! This is great advice thanks

I usually WILD right after waking up naturally. But I don't really know when my REM cycle starts. If I am to DEILD, how do I know when to wake up? People say 4-6 hours but I usually go to bed at 2am and WILD at 10am. Also, I need an alarm clock that shuts of automatically because mine goes off until I press reset haha.

There are apps for that if you have a smartphone. I use Alarm Clock Plus for Android.

Don't have a phone these days haha, I'll break out the Ipad. But does anyone know how I can test to see how long it takes me to start REM?

Having same problem in the different thread, have already reported to the bug thread though.

Back on topic, it's definitely possible to LD every day/night, it was definitely not hard for me to start and i was able to have one lucid per day for 3 days in a row once, maybe i would have reached level close to that by now if i haven't ran into this problem where for the most time i can't fall asleep for a WILD nap.

I a glad you are lucid so often. It comes in waves. Do not get upset if you seem to loose the skill for weeks at a time.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
