      Wishing I Wasn't Lucid

      Have you ever been unaware that you were dreaming and really happy about whats happening in a dream, but once you realize you're dreaming you hate knowing that it inst real and that you will eventually wake up? I dreamed the girl I had liked for a really long time was confessing her feelings to me. But the dream was revealed when I saw my dream sign sparkling in her eyes. My dream sign and my visual for my subconscious is the fairy from Ocarina of Time named Navi. Basically I saw an unrealistic sparkle in her eyes and said "look at me again, stay still". Then I saw what it was and i was furious. I just waned to wake up and forget about it. Have you ever wished you could have stayed unaware?

      No rather not, considering that I would have woken up eventually, I would have rather woken in a unniverse where I can do anything than in real life. I would have just made the most of the dream. If you make the rest of the lucid dream amazing you will probably not feel as bad about the beginning of the dream.

      I was just too upset about it to want to do anything else.

      what made you sad was thinking about the future, stay present. You missed the chance to ask why you like her and what is something you could have said to make her laugh (in this reality)

      I hold it true, whate'er befall;
      I feel it, when I sorrow most;
      Tis better to have loved and lost
      Than never to have loved at all.
      - Alfred Lord Tennyson

      It's like reading a good book or watching good movie, or being with a good friend, or anything that brings you joy in life. Most of them have an end, and you know it. But to give up on them just because you know they will not last forever - you would miss out on all those good times.

      Don't think i ever wished for that, in fact i remember some dreams that i wish i was lucid in.
      And don't forget that with some dream control you can attempt to return to dream storyline of choice, don't think about waking up as about something that would not let you back.

      If you immerse in a conversation you can lose lucidity. One of the weirdest feelings ever.

      I had two last week. I was at a soccer match in England watching my favorite team play and they had just scored a goal. The stadium was really rocking and I was having a blast. A ball sailed over the goal and right to me and I caught it. When I looked at the ball, it was autographed by several of the players with a note addressed to me. I became lucid because of that and was disappointed the whole thing wasn't real. I live in the U.S. and have never been to a game in person.

      Then the next night I dreamed I was watching the Super Bowl and the Bengals were winning handily. Something triggered lucidity and that was a disappointment as well.

      Yes, I'm a bit of a sports fan.

      It's better to be lucid in the dream than to wake up, unable to change anything.

      I agree in someway. When I am dreaming I believe that everything is true. When I am lucid dreaming I know for sure that everything is going to be over in a few minutes.
