      Cold-Hearted Peeps... Show Yourselves!

Yeah, I'm the Fucking-New-Guy *bows* Nice to meet you all

Anyways, I shall share one of my many motivations for LDing, and please I am not trying to offend.

Violence. And lots of it. ^_^

Murder. Hand-to-hand combat. Rampages. Shootouts. Explosions. Blood. Gore. War. Snuff.

I guess you could say... oneirocide? Dream killing?

Now before I am criticized for annihilating my precious DC's that could reward me so, I know. I am aware DC's could/do offer much wealth in my dreams and believe me, I shall oblige them. But I am a unique individual. I have a very different view on morals; I have quite the "vivid" imagination; I have quite the thirst for some action and excitement in my life, and if some of you caught a glimpse of my daydreams, you might consider me a psychopath.

Now let's wait a second, now... I do not wish to be judged. I am quite the charming lad. I am fully aware that homicide is not so acceptable in current society, and if I "gave way" to my "impulses" I would probably not have the best internet connection, as multiple walls of concrete and steel tend to bring those bars down a tad. I enjoy healthy conversation, and all-in-all, I'm a good dude. And I am in no way trying to condone murder or violence IRL, we're talkin' about dreams, people!

But goddamnit I play video games for a reason: to do things I can't in real life. And gosh-frikin-darn-it, LDing sounds like the best damn video game ever made (We'll re-evaluate this statement once GTA: V comes out ). And I could use a good... "release" once and a while.

Anyone else share my desire for a multitude of carnage? I'd be more than happy to hear your to-do-list/stories/experiences of your nighttime adventures. I'd also be more than happy to share mine! I just hope there are a few like-minded individuals to share with ^_^

      You're a sick f*ck, you know that?

But I can't straight down deny liking some violence in dreams. It helps me blow off some steam from real life that is very stressful for me, even though I don't dream about murdering babies everynight.

We are all different and we all find motivation in our own ways. Some, understandably, are more interesting than others

I personally haven't had the urge to kill anything in a dream, but I'd be lying if I said that I don't like the idea of killing off surges of monsters with my platoon of soldiers while simultaneously heading towards their empire to destroy them all. Or driving through a crowded city GTA style and just running rampant.

It is a good release, and a good way to get rid of tension and stress if it stresses you out.

Why thank you, my friend; it means a lot

      And I completely agree

You know, I don't understand why lucid dreaming isn't as widespread as it should be. I mean, you would think somebody who's #1 goal/fantasy in life was a mass-murder spree would rather do it every night and have it play out exactly how you planned every as opposed to screwing up in RL and getting yourself killed by the pigs (or by yourself if you're not boss enough ) My point being that people have a perfect opportunity to fulfill their greatest desires, be it illegal or not, and they don't even know it. IDK, just kinda lame. For them, at least, not us cool people on dreamviews...

I guess I must be an outcast on this site when it come to dream-related homicidal tendencies Nothing I'm not used to already, of course haha. Granted it HAS only been a couple of days, there is still hope Haha It would be pretty sick to find a partner in crime on this site to do crazy shit with in the dream world. Holy shit that sounds cool xD Exchange pics, video chat, and share the stories in the morning (It's so hard not to use that damn banana sometimes)

If there if there is one thing I learned from the internet, it's that your never the only one. I think the amount of violence in dreams is fairly varied between everyone, I have quite violent dreams myself. Granted I don't hurt people just for seeing them suffer but if they point a gun at me I will do a tornado kick and break his arm...

The problem with real outcasts who really do wanna shoot people for real is that they're usually victims of life-long rejection by society and acting it out in dreams won't cut it for them.

As for a partner in crime, why not just find a dream character to help you, dream sidekicks are the best

      Made me lol quite randomly

I don't think I would necessarily hurt a DC just to see them suffer per se, but if it was a DC modeled after someone I really didn't like then things might get a little more up-close and personal. Violence in my dreams would really honestly be just for fun. And for some personal development, I guess i.e. weapons handling, close-quarters combat, acquiring sight pictures, reflexes, etc...

The problem with real outcasts who really do wanna shoot people for real is that they're usually victims of life-long rejection by society and acting it out in dreams won't cut it for them.
Sadly, that may be the case. But if they're in it for the experience, it seems lucid dreams are the absolutely, positively, #1 solution! Sans jail time, even!

I've been thinking about that since I posted. Having my black pitbull follow me around, like in Fable II for all you gamers, would be pretty coolio. I wouldn't just want a random DC off the streets, though. I'd need somebody awesome to ride with. I must do some thinking I just thought it would be pretty neat to have a RL friend to do crazy shit with in dreams as well. You know, rob the National Guard armory and overthrow the government or sumthin'

      Hi.

I'm what you might call a cold-hearted bitch. I like destruction, and lots of it. I also really like violence. It's not that I think of myself as a bad person in waking life, I just realize that the dream world and all of its tiny inhabitants exist for my amusement.

I frequently kill DCs for one reason or another and not infrequently beat them to a bloody pulp in the process. Just last night in a non-lucid one guy I didn't like tried to bitch slap me so I flipped into a wall and then repeatedly smashed his face into the edge and then hurled him across the room. It was fun! Also within the last week in a lucid I kicked two puppies through a window high up in a skyscraper in a downtown setting just to see if I could make it happen without shattering the glass. (It worked!) I also just have this habit of picking up large objects or furniture and throwing them across the room or smashing them into things just for the hell of it. And sometimes you just have to keep the DCs in line, you know? If they try to act out you just have to remind them who their creator and executioner is.

I actually consider my level of dream control compared to my goals to be very low, however. I have this kind of situation going on, too:

I have quite the "vivid" imagination; I have quite the thirst for some action and excitement in my life, and if some of you caught a glimpse of my daydreams, you might consider me a psychopath.
If my control was actually where I wanted it to be though I probably wouldn't spend so much time worrying about the violence and destruction. I still love it, it's just not my main focus. I'm more of the "bow down to your supreme ruler" type. I wouldn't want to go totally without all the chaos either though.... Maybe I'll get a DC lover to amuse me with that while I just relax lol.

I just love car chases or total madness GTA style, but I don't kill for fun, neither do I enjoy making DCs suffer. An other thing I like to do is to "make lucid" a DC and have a epic fight with him. Most of the time they are pretty hard to get rid of so there's a pretty bad amount of destruction. Sometimes they are actually indestructibles, so the only way around is by blocking their attacks and making them doubt of their own abilities. Then they start failing pretty badly and screw themselves up.

Yesterday, out of curiosity I watched some self defense moves on Youtube, and then I wandered off onto the darker side of Youtube which resulted in me watching crazy streetfights. Later I decided to take a nap (which ended up being a 5~ hour long nap, lol) and I can clearly remember me in streetfights, using the moves I learned from Youtube. Conclusion? Today morning, my rather violent brother got owned by me when he tried to tackle me - I did it completely instinctively, lol.

Btw, I'm not really into Lucid Dreaming shortcuts, but does DC mean "Dream Creation"?

@OP - No shame at all in having violent LDs. Words can't describe the horrors I have put some of my DCs through. Explore, enjoy, fight, kill. Its your dream, bud!

      Hey Captn

Yale psychologist Jerome Singer has found that imaginative children are less aggressive, have more control over their emotions and actions, and have more empathy than other children.

      From here:

      ***

What your daydreams reveal about you « Psychologies

      ***

I was looking for research I heard of decades ago where it was discovered that those who indulge in violent day dreams are very gentle people.

      Were as

Those unable to daydream don't release those violent emotions and have no chose but to act out.

Alcohol dampens down the ability to imagin and daydream in many drunks and thays why some become foul mouthed and dangerous.

This reseach was done in jails and the most violent inmates could not daydream.

If I find it I will post.

You sound the like the average frustrated chump to me bro, I 'kill' in my dreams as well. Killing is only natural, every animal does it. Stabbing a cop with a katana, or beating some up (that doesn't include to continue punching when they're down) happens from time to time.

Sometimes I get violent in real life, but that's just a short outburst that occurs twice a year or so (don't get near me if that happens). I like adventure as well, but I achieve it through means other than violence.

Also you seem like a nice dude, not cold-hearted per se. Enjoy your stay here.

      Been busy. Fucking lame waking-world.

I'm what you might call a cold-hearted bitch.
I wish my non-lucids were as exciting as yours. I get lucky if I actually get to kill/beat somebody to shit. It seems you're more acquainted with using brute force to fuck people up, is that your preferred method? It's been an almost lifelong habit of mine to carry a folding knife with me wherever I go and I LOVE the dreams where I have the sense to use it I recently purchased a nice full-size Ka-Bar sheathe knife, but have yet to wield it in a dream And sometimes you can't beat the feeling of popping a cap in someone's ass xD And the creator and executioner analogy was awesome, btw

An other thing I like to do is to "make lucid" a DC and have a epic fight with him.
The epic battle with an indestructible DC DOES sound epic! Especially because you just have to make them fail instead of attacking them haha. If it were my battle, he would surely deserve a graceful beheading as the coup de grace for his wonderful show of effort ^_^

Words can't describe the horrors I have put some of my DCs through.
in my short time here I have already come to hold you in high regard; your All-Day-Awareness tutorial is great, and that is currently my best bet at finally sating my bloodthirst. Thanks for the encouraging words.

Yale psychologist Jerome Singer has found that imaginative children are less aggressive, have more control over their emotions and actions, and have more empathy than other children.
Those studies sound extremely interesting. Not that you put words in my mouth, but I DO consider myself in good control with my emotions and do put up with a lot when it comes to annoying shit. Granted, whoever is the source of the annoying shit may be receiving a blade to the throat in my imagination, but I do try my best to keep my cool as much as I can. Lately, when people piss me off, I just say to myself: "Ohhh, you just wait until I become lucid," and laugh to myself like a weirdo I did that at work yesterday as a matter of fact

lol I like being violent in my dreams. Yet I have not really tried it that much. I should!!!!
You really should! Maybe you'll find the warrior inside you. Jason Brody status.

You sound the like the average frustrated chump to me bro, I 'kill' in my dreams as well. Killing is only natural, every animal does it.
I completely agree. Haha with both points We are all just animals on a spherical ball of dirt floating in space. If a lion can eat his offspring or whatever weird shit animals can do, then dammit, I can kill my DC's if I want to d:

Also you seem like a nice dude, not cold-hearted per se. Enjoy your stay here.
And thank you! You seem like a nice dude, too. And I WILL enjoy my stay. Although let's not jump to conclusions, now...

One of my most prominent dream signs right now is my workplace. And I tell ya, if I become lucid at work... That cleaver around back that gets used to chop up all that chicken? Yeah, it's getting buried in my fatass manager's skull.

I thought like that when I was 12-13, then I grew up But, in all seriousness, I'm personally against violence in general, although I have gotten into a few fights in my time.

      What an interesting thread...

I always daydream violence, but usually I am in a hero role. My single most day dreamed topic is home invasions, where I think of scenarios where robbers break in to my house and I have to save my family, using anything in the vicinity as a weapon, and outsmart them. I have had three lucid dreams, with very minimal violence, and despite the gruesome movies and video games a I adore, my non-lucids tend to be pretty tame as well.

That being said, I also consider myself a Sith. I have always wanted power, and dominion over others. So if I ask for a lump of coal from a Dream Character for me to turn into a diamond, and they don't hand the coal over, I'm ripping it out of their throats.

      Cheers!
      ~Raven

I can relate to this I always imagine someone busting into the house and me having to shed some blood. I've felt a bit better having a full-size combat knife in my room now, though And in one of my very few lucids I remember a few cops showing up to ruin my fun and I snatched one of theirs holsters and shot all three It was awesome ^_^

One thing I am PHSYCHED about doing once I really get the hang of LDing is being a hitman by night Dream up a contract, have a giant-ass armory to pick-and-choose from, and have some fun.

I'm Glad It does me, too. In fact, I've been pretty busy lately and have been really slacking with my ADA and reality checking... But I had my first two lucids last night For a LONG time anyway. It was weird, I don't even remember how I became lucid in the first place, but I just went with the plot. And when the first faded, I did my very first DEILD. Good shit I wasn't TRULY lucid, though. I was just preoccupied with the plot, I guess.

Cold-hearted? Nah. I often kill in the most warm-hearted ways possible. You know, super hugs, affection, politeness, good manners, and such.

Unless it's someone I don't like, in which case I use a meat cleaver.

I feel the same way as you Cap'n, In my lucids, i have little to no sense of morality (they aren't REAL people), so i find exploding a dream character as emotionally difficult as squishing a mosquito, I have had a lot of experience killing stuff in my dreams, sometimes in can be pretty brutal, but I don't see any issue with it unless those feelings started to creep over into my waking life, if that ever happens I will definitely make an effort to stop, until then it is a good "release".
