      Using tinnitus to Lucid Dream???

      I just recently read this. I read that if you are one of the few that can hear ringing in their ear while trying to sleep, you can focus on that to help you lucid dream. Is this true? And if it is true, what are the exact steps to successfully use this technique? I have had this ringing in my ear for a while, and from what I read, I have already mastered this more than half way

      Sounds to me like what you read was a reference to the WILD technique, using the tinnitus as an anchor to keep you aware.

      Try to ear your tinnitus when you wake up from your dreams. You may hear some buzzing, electronic noises... and you may be able to DEILD/ OBE.
      Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way
