How long does it take to do a reality check in my dreams?

I downloaded an app that makes my phone vibrate every hour to remind me to do a reality check. So what I want to know is, how long will it take for me to do a reality check in my dreams. Also, if I have my phone in my pocket when I go to sleep, would I feel when it vibrates in my dreams and do a reality check in my dream?

It may depend on few things. How excited you are from the concept of lucid dreaming, how much attention you pay when you RC, do you believe that you are in a dream when you RC... It may take a day, or a few weeks or longer. The main thing is to not give up. You can use the alarm to remind you to RC. But you may not feel the vibrations when you sleep. Most likely you will not.
