Dream Guide Question

I was wondering if there were any tips for someone who hasn't had a lucid dream yet to be ready or increase the chance of meeting their DG? I looked on both wikis but could not find anything substantial and/or specific enough. I was also wondering if they always have to be human because I'm scared that if they are human then I might not notice them. Thanks in advance.

Not everyone believes in dream guides. To me, a dream guide is a dream character like any other.

That's interesting. I've never seen one so I obviously can't speak for myself, but I really want to at least see a so-called "dream guide" and make a decision for myself, as I just assumed that they were unanimously decided to be real.

They are real, but you are jumping the gun. Think of them like a secret jedi hidden in a crowd, who will approach a student of their choosing. They watch and wait, and observe. You must first show skill and honor, and work hard. The best way to meet one is to get good at all the LD basics first. Then simply start asking for help, out loud in LDs.

Thank you very much for your tips and help! I will not jump the gun and see what I can do to even get in an LD first.
