I have pretty good recall and can remember most of my dreams. The problem I'm finding is that they are too plain for me to notice they're dreams. I don't have any dancing elephants or dinosaurs to make me realize I'm dreaming. Basically they are too possible and potentially truthful that they all feel real. For example, last night I had a dream that my girlfriend was moving. In reality, she's not going anywhere but I justified it in my dream and thought it was true. How can I try to achieve lucidity when my dreams are too "possible" for me to differentiate them from reality? |

All I can say is work on dream and waking life awareness and that you're not alone (everyone has average dreams, I have them all the time |

Having normal orderly dreams isn't all that bad and shouldn't be an obstacle to achieving lucidity. For one thing there's a different feel of the dream reality that one learns to recognize over time so that helps even if dreams look exactly like real life. Now, that may be a little hard if it one doesn't have a lot lds to start with, but you can work around this issue. Here's what you can try to do: |

So you think your dream life is a lot like your waking life? Fantastic! You can use that to your advantage: if you reality check regularly during waking life when you see your girlfriend and or whatever else, you can get into the habit of RCing whenever x happens, and since x happens in both waking and dreaming, someday you are bound to RC in a dream. |

You may say I'm a dreamer.

You have received some great replies. My dreams are also pretty much normal. Raising your daytime awareness will help though. That way you will be more aware in all our dreams, no matter how plain or bizarre. |
