I guess the people who are able to realize they are dreaming and continue have some extra something that you and me DONT YET HAVE. cause i had the same kind of thing. I had a sex dream and i was climaxing and as soon as i notice that, i kind of realized i was dreaming cause i was having sx with a hot girl and in my real life i never even have female friends. so as soon as i realized it ..i woke up.. Well not really. i woke up cause i realized i was about to cum in real life...and i didn't want to so i got awake before i did. similar to your dream .

I dont know how people who realize they're dreaming and keep going, can keep dreaming. But i heard this happens to many people, that once they realized it they get real excited and that makes them wake up and lose it.
