Lucid dreams as a kid an advantage?

I was thinking about lucid dreaming today when all of a sudden I remembered that as a kid, I taught myself to recognize a recurring dream and I would wake myself up from it. I don't remember exactly how I woke myself up, it was either shutting my eyes or blinking a lot, but that is irrelevant. I also remember a few times when I would have recurring dreams of falling, and I was able to wake myself up then as well. At the time I never thought anything of it, so I forgot about it. Could this be a possible advantage to me now days when learning to develop my LDing ability? I had my first LD after only 3 days of trying when I first got started.

      Just something to think about

Yes, I do think it was advantagous to have some experience in the past. But I don't know if it matters that you were a kid, simply having done something in the past makes you experienced and makes it easy to start again.

And gongratulations and your first lucid! I hope for you that there are many more to come

The more LDs you have the greater your odds of having more. So, the earlier you start the more you have the more you will have.
      Total LDs (some very brief) = 2004: 4 * 2005: 18 * 2006: 16 * 2007: 2 * 2008: 0 * 2009: 0 * 2010: 1 * 2011: 12 * 2012: 3 * 2013: 1 * 2014: 6 * 2015: 1 * 2016: 0 * 2017: 18 * 2018: 3 * 2019: 0 (so far)
