My Monkey and I

One too funny to not share... In a NLD last night I found myself in a crowded pub in Ireland trying to properly set up their security cameras. It was difficult for a couple of reasons. Pub-goers kept bumping into my ladder, making me afraid I was going to fall, plus, my assistant who handed me tools and such was a little monkey who couldn't speak... although he did understand what I had to say. A pretty girl approaches and looks up at me. I think, "That pretty girl wants to talks to me." She says, "Nice monkey" and walks off. Things keep going downhill in that every time I re-check one of the cameras, the image is entirely different. After hours of this, I'm getting really hungry but I have no idea where I'm staying or how I might get some food. Makes me feel a little of that lost feeling. (dream sign) It occurred to me that I could be dreaming... but I quickly rejected the thought as an impossibility. I look at my monkey assistant and he nods knowingly at me, and I again think "maybe I am dreaming." I consider the idea briefly before telling my monkey he must be on drugs, because there's no way I'm dreaming. The monkey shakes his head, gives me a dirty look, and takes off his tool belt. He seems really disgusted with me. My attention goes to food again, and I reach for my wallet, only to find I'm not wearing any clothes. I take a moment to reflect... I'm naked in a crowded pub in Ireland, up a ladder, and I'm arguing with a monkey who seems to think it's all a dream. After a moment I think... "what if I really am dreaming? Finally the reality sinks in! I become lucid, but it's all so funny to me that I wake up, at home in bed. Luckily I was able to catch a DEILD and had enough REM left to work on the LD skills I had decided upon earlier. How dumb are we in dreams? For me at least, the answer is "dumber than a fire plug."
