Hello,

I've been practicing LDing for approximately 3 months, and have had some measure of success. I believe I have found a method that works for me--a variation of LaBerge's MILD, although with minimal visualization (my conscious visualization skills, up until now, have been not so wonderful). I find that when I seriously practice, I can usually get lucid in a night (coupled with WBTB, a wild attempt, and maybe a supplement if things have been dry for a bit).

My concern is that I have to work really hard for this! I have not had a spontaneous LD (one experienced without practicing a technique) since I began LDing. Any concerns here? Also, are there any methods that are less stressful (not having to forcefully repeat positive affirmations to myself before REM sleep) that will provide equally high (or increased) yields? Right now I am sitting between 5-8 LDs per month. I've had three this month, but all in the same week. Also "failed" a WILD by not knowing I had actually WILDed. Dreamt about thrashing around in bed trying to get comfortable. Then sat up and talked to my wife about wormholes and time travel.
