Sometimes I fall asleep with some music on (a nap). I don't really notice the sound in my dreams. Otherwise it would be very useful in becoming lucid |

I've never thought to set my dreams to music, though I've had background music playing in a few non-lucid dreams before. A few times, it's been the result of falling asleep with music playing, though there have been a few dreams where songs I'd never even heard before have played in the background. I still remember a brief snippet of one song that played in a dream YEARS ago along with a few images from the dream because that dream was so emotional. |

I actually did that earlier this week. It was an original song too, pretty cool! It lasted for the duration of the LD. So it can definitely be done. |

I've heard real songs and unknown music playing in the background of many dreams, both lucid and non-lucid. |

I'm sure in a LD you could play your own song. Thooough you might have to remember all of it... but maybe not. I say that because you're conscious at that point. I've had dreams where songs are playing that I listen to, but I don't remember all of them, yet in the dream they flow perfectly and are quite believable that it's the real song, but again, I'm not conscious and going with the flow. |

Yes, but I find it much more rewarding to actually create the music yourself since it can become part of the fight... well I fight a lot so don't know about everyone else. |
