Can someone please help me understand this?

      Here's what's going on.

I met a boy this summer and at first we were just friends but, we quickly fell into a weird relationship situation.

I had moved a few miles away soon after our relationship started but, we were still seeing one another.

Not long after this, I started having dreams of him every single night.

Him and I decided to try and be friends because, he was moving away soon.

But, the thing is... the dreams never stopped. I've had them every single night for 3 months straight.

Can anyone help me figure out why I keep dreaming of this boy?

Part of you still wanted to be with him, and dreams let that happen.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

Have you asked him about his dream? It would be really cool if you found out you have shared dreams! (I'm skeptically open about the possibility of shared dreams. Becoming more open though because of personal experiences!)

Please don't take this as condescending, but what's to understand?
Expectation plays a big part in dream content.
Why wouldn't you dream about this boy?

Obviously things can get a bit confusing if you have a dream relationship as well as a WL relationship with the same boy!

If you can get lucid in this dream, ask him who he is. You might get a surprising answer.
Also, if lucid, you might find it actually doesn't look like him. In a non-lucid dream you often get a feeling that it is the person, but when lucid, when you look closely, they are not, or morph into a random person.
At least that's what I have found.

And another thing, he might turn out to be a great dream sign to allow yourself to get lucid. When awake, just imagine yourself meeting him in your dream and asking him a question.
That might trigger lucidity in your dream as you remember you were supposed to ask him something.
