      Unhappy WILD extremely strange experience

Greetings fine people of the world of Lucid Dreaming!

First time poster here and I've come to share my experience WILD'ing and find out if something similar to this has happened to anyone else.
Lately I've been having extreme difficulties WILD'ing. Here's my story:

I am somewhat experienced in performing WILD. I had about 10 or more successfull lucid dreams using this technique.
In the past it was not very difficult to drift of to a lucid dream. Just lie down, lay still a while and bam - i'm in a lucid dream.
After a while something has gone wrong. Instead of the body performing "checks" to see if my mind is asleep by sending an ocasional itch here and there and an urge to move, my body decided to do slightly more extreme things.
Instead of light itches and urges to move, I started having severe pains (mostly my back, neck or the back of my head). With some effort I managed to overcome these pains and WILD successefully again.

This is where it gets just plain weird...
My body decided to kick it up a notch again. Now instead of light itches or pains, whenever I attempt to WILD it gets unbearable!
I lay in my bed, do everything as usual and right after the hypnagogic stage starts my body suddenly gets warm. After a few seconds it gets hot! Not JUST hot but I get the sensation of burning. My whole body burns and the pain is unbearable, it's like getting set on fire. In addition to the burning pain I start to get nauseous and get an extreme urge to vommit...

Has anyone experienced something like this or has heard anything similar to this madness?
Because of this stragne phenomenon I can't LD anymore

Does this happen when you fall asleep normally or only when you WILD? If it's just when you try and WILD then it may just be some intense hypnagogic hallucinations that you're experiencing. Try your WILDs in different positions and see if it helps at all. You could also try doing some relaxation techniques or meditation before you WILD to get your body calmed down and get your mind ready for sleep so that you transition quicker and don't spend so much time in these hypnagogic stages.

If it happens whenever you fall asleep then you may be really stressed out/anxious about something or it may be some underlying cause. If this is the case then I can't really give you much advice besides what I said for the WILDs, just try and relax more before going to bed so you fall asleep faster and bypass it all.

If you have any more concerns or this doesn't work out, feel free to ask/let me know.

Thanks for the answer. This only happens when trying to WILD. Perhaps I need to try and calm down more before attempting then.
But it's strange how this hypnagogic hallucination manifests itself. Recently everytime I try WILD'ing this happens and always the exact same effects occur.
I wonder, could it be linked somehow to an excess of stress and/or anxiety throughout the day...

Yup (and sorry for the beyond dreaming stuff, but I need to say it)

This is happening to many of us and it is due an energetic expansion we are all experiencing.

      Happened to me something similar:

(I was WILDing to Astral Project)

Overcharging my body for Astral Projection and failing - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

      19.09.2014
Overcharging my body for Astral Projection. (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM Astral Separation Attempt Astral

Well, this was a weird experience.

Yesterday around 2am I decided to astral travel. I wanted to project, but I wanted to super charge my astral body to be able to go as high and farther as possible. I could hear a slight buzzing on my ears (usual thing) and I focused instead of just coming out, to concentrate the energy and focus all the energy around my entire body. The buzzing got so loud, that it was as intense as if I had huge speakers. I could not hear other noise around, and there was plenty of background noise from cars, etc.

From here, my body got completely paralyzed (I am familiar with it of course, completely normal) and then is when I wanted to go out, but then, the energy was so intense that my entire hands were hurting me huge time… not just the fingers, but the entire hands, both of them.

I had to break the trance because due the pain I was not going to be able to come out, and actually took me a while to be able to move my body again, so it could have been a super awesome projection because I had more energy than ever.

Could it be so much energy that my dense body could not tolerate it? What are your thoughts? I think this is what happened!

      Well, this is interesting.
Maybe the energy you mentioned and body not being able to take it could be a manifestation of something psychological that didn't allow you to leave your body.
In my case it might be my psychological state that is doing this to me. I believe my consciousness created a barrier to forbid me to enter my subconsciousness as it may be afraid of what it can find there.

The burning sensation sounds like muscle cramps like you get if you do too much sport without prior stretching, are you totally relaxed and in a conformtable position when you do your WILDs?

The hot feeling could be solved by simply having less sheets or wearing thinner clothing but I'm not completly sure this is what you're trying to say.
If you read this do a reality check, you will thank me later...
