What do you mean by sleep paralysis? Do you mean OBE/WILD? A sleep paralysis is when you wake up from your sleep paralyzed. I think you mean WILD, where you try to go from wake to lucid dream. |

Sounds and music can have impact in your dreams. |

You could hear anything from loud bangs to buzzing noises. Atleast i have. Sometimes scenarios will be playing in my head and sometimes its like i actually hear them talk as if theyre standing beside me but its just an audial illusion (if thats how you say it) |

Hi, Amazingdreamer. The phenomenon we are discussing here is called HH, or hypnagogic hallucinations. They often accompany a successful (or almost successful) WILD attempt. As LiquidNitrogen mentioned, they often come in the form of buzzes, slamming doors, or just people talking. |

Indeed, I've been nervous going through some WILD-like experiences after hearing others' experiences, but I find that I personally don't usually have much HH, nor do I hallucinate often when I happen to wake up in SP like many do. It likely varies by person and might not something that can be easily predicted. One of the rare times I actually heard something, it was a woman's scream, but it was very faint and ended up not really being disconcerting at all when it actually happened, unlike what I might have expected. So who knows, it might not turn out so bad after all. |
