      DJ Question...

Could the dream journal on this forum completely replace a physical one? Or would it not be advisable?

I know that most of the times dreams are recalled shortly after waking, but I find that once I go over it, it'll be engraved in my memory for the day. I have relatively easy access to the forums and can get on and post an entry most of the time.

So, even in this case, would I still need a dream journal near my bed?

The purpose of the journal is to help remember your dreams. So if you can remember your dreams without a journal, you don't need one.

Thank you for clarifying that. I heard that, along with that reason, is that it helps your brain show that you really want to remember your dreams, so your recall improves.

Journalling dreams helps LDing a lot. It does not matter how you do it, online or in a book. I am not the best at it and journal maybe 80-100 a year tops, but it is good practice.

I've heard that writing something down pen-to-paper provides greater memory recall because it accesses more parts of your brain. I have a notebook DJ, a Word document, and this website. Personally, I can't tell the difference among the three.
