      Your Longest Lucid Dream?

Now what was your longest lucid dream? this also includes dream chaining
(when the dream fades to black then a new one starts and you're still lucid).

Reason I brought this thread up is because I may of had the longest lucid dream ever (my personal best not WR).
I had an afternoon LD and timed it just before I slept then as soon as I woke up I stopped the timer.
When I stopped the timer it was an hour and 57 minutes, for me this was extremely
long compared to the other times I've timed my afternoon lucid naps. It wasn't
a continuous lucid dream but dream chaining.

I'd prefer hearing from people who've timed how long it was tho all are welcome!

I don't really know how long it was, but it felt as though it was 2 minutes.

Then again, I've only had 4 lucid dreams..

I had a lucid dream that lasted 60 minutes. I only watched a made-up movie in that one.

I have had a couple that were 15 to 20 minutes long. Thats good though as they both were maybe 2 months apart and recent...after 4 years of LD'S I am finally getting ones over my prior 1 to 2 minutes.

Some of my lucid dreams often feel very long, often longer than the actual time i was resting.

For me it was pretty much instantaneous to achieve long LDs (through dream chaining) but 2 hours was definitely my best.
I'm pretty sure the only reason I woke up was because I maxed out the required rem sleep because I wanted to keep going
      but I just woke up.

That's just an illusion basically in the dream it's skipping time seamlessly to make you think it felt longer than it actually was.

I was down there for 2 weeks, but when I recount all the convos and things that happened it was about 16 hours. This was lucid as well.

I have also had lucid dreams that lasted about 2 or 3 hours, the whole time extremely aware and no time skips.

People seem to not believe that time dilation is a thing, but they don't seem to think anything of it the other way. I have wilded into a dream and been there for a minute or so and woken. Then when i checked my clock it was an hour later.

I think it is nigh impossible to judge how long a dream really was. Time is so borked inside a dream because of skipping.

my longest lucid dream lasted for 5-10 minutes.

My personal record is ~2 hours long lucid. Then I got few of hour lasting lucid. Every time I've woken up from these ld's I feel confused and psychically tired. The recall is very difficult for such a long period. Also you ran out of your goals at first 30 minutes so it's kinda boring to do it over. I prefer meditate or I just walk and focus on lucidity and stabilty.

I think I had my longest lucid dream about 3-4 days ago.
Realistically, it probably lasted about 10 minutes, but that feels like a really, really long time in a lucid dream, since you enjoy every single second of it.
It's kind of like trying to count 600 seconds in your head, if you try that then I can guarantee that it will feel like a very, very long time.

Hmmm... I am lucid quite often, so it isn't extremely super happy all the time. Also, if you are actually aware in a lucid there won't be any time skips, and if there are, you will notice it.

it was kinda weird, but I remember deciding in a lucid to stay in the dream forever
i think it lasted for awhile, not sure how long, but eventually i was so tired of it all i started begging for it to end

So far maybe between 5-10 minutes. A 16 hour Lucid dream... man now that would be something. I think I would get to the point where I would think I might be dead though lol.

2 - 3 minutes has been by longest. Looking forward to the day I beat it, which won't be long, I'm sure.

Pretty much every time I beat my record. At that time I was told by a DC that when witches kill you in dreams, you die. I watched my wife die and forced myself to stay down there to kill the witch. I thought that I might be dead too, but didn't care because I had a vendetta. That one was a little different as I said, because there was a bit of time skips. I went to sleep and things.
The 2 to 3 hour ones I will be down there and do a goal and and another goal and then talk with some dcs. Then another goal and be like "why haven't I woken up yet? Is there something wrong up there?!" Lol. I woke myself up after the first 40 minute dream I had because I was scared, but since I realized there was nothing wrong, when I hit 1, 2, and 3 hours, I just calm myself down and let myself know that everything has always been ok before, no need to think anything is wrong now.

This is just my personal opinion but I think people overestimate just how long their Lucida are. I used to think my Lucida were lasting between 15 - 30 mins when I realized that the vast majority hovered around 2 - 10 minutes.

I think it all comes down to just how many things you can achieve in a lucid dream compared to real life in same amount of time. Everything in a dream is sped up because the normal delays you experience in real life simply aren't there for the most part. No lines, no flight cancellations, no traffic. Combine this fact with no real way to accurately chart the course of time in a dream and suddenly something that took 30 seconds FEELS like it took 4+ minutes.
My Lucid Dreaming Motto - "I have walked upon the the surface of a burning star. Observed events so infinitesimal and instantaneous that they can barely be described as having occurred at all. You... you're just a dream character. And this world's most powerful dream character poses no more threat to me than it's smartest cupcake." - Dr. Manhattan (kinda)

I had a lucid dream that noticeably felt longer than any other dream in my mental record. It was a period in which I slept 14 hours. I felt if a normal LD lasted 10 minutes (which felt like hours) then this dream lasted between 15 and 20 minutes. I remember specific time when I thought for a second and realized that at that moment would be when a previous LD would end, like a clock. It kept going though.

A long time. Bad part is trying to recall it all afterwards when they get long. In my opinion though the length of time is not really important, only what you get out of the experience matters. Just remember oversleeping is not healthy

But, since you are lucid for that extra few hours' sleep, are you really oversleeping? After all, you are awake at the same time, right?

I've scripted my longest lucid dream and played it out (to myself!!!) a couple of times in the past and I reckon it was 6 or 7 minutes.

you just had to ;P I realize it's sarcastic and you're being funny but really some people go overboard and it's important to take care of your physical body too. you can have amazing lucid dream experiences whether it's 30 seconds or hours and hours.
