Thread: Sleep paralysis and lucid dreaming

I recently wrote a huge post on this experience and it didn't let me post and I lost it all lol so this is a test before I do it all again

Hey recently I managed to enter a lucid state during an episode of sleep paralysis which I happen to get quite alot, anyone who's ever experienced this will know how terrifying it can be from shadow figures, ghosts and aliens surrounding your bed to footsteps getting closer.

It was only last night I managed to fight the fear factor and enter a lucid state, I calmed myself down and knew I was sleeping next to my wife then I began fighting the figures that surrounded me after this it was like something clicked and I managed to stay dreaming but I now had control, I floated out of my body and began moving around my house room to room everything was so real then I decided to fly around the streets also all so real just as they were in real life the only difference was the stars were so bright and there was thousands of them I managed to maintain this dream for around 15 mins.

Has anyone else managed to master this technique and what was your experience of it, please share

Please give this thread, Sleep Paralysis Explained a quick read. SP is not required for, nor is a part of lucid dreaming. It is actually a sleep disorder which is encountered by very small number of people.

Also, when you log in, be sure to check the "Remember Me" checkbox next to the login button. That will prevent you from being automatically logged out at the most inconvenient times.

This is really cool. I haven't been able to do such a thing unfortunately, because any time I have SP, it just ends up being a bad time. There was a dark, spherical floating thing next to my bed that made growling noises once, and that scared me for some reason. I think the next time it happens to me, I'll try to get past the fear, but I've tried to a few times before and I just accidentally wake up by mistake.
