This is one of the reasons that I call my subconscious the "unconscious". It is not some secondary conscious that lives in the sub ether in my brain. It is a well crafted network of files and memories and tools that doesn't have a will of it's own. It just does what it has in the past. Neural pathways are like a line of water going through sand downhill. the first time it does something, it can often be slow and eratic with varying results, but the more water and the more often it happens, the quicker the process and the more efficient.
Your mind isnt trying to stop you, because your mind isnt trying to do anything. I label stuff like this in "unconscious fears". Dreams sound amazing and fun, but when we get in there, things, places, and people can seem eerie and bring some unease. This unease can actually cause bad things to happen. Even if i say "dont worry about it" that is like saying "dont think about an elephant" the best you can do is be prepared and confident. Confidence can easily override unconscious fears. I recommend this thread i made about what to expect with lding.
