Thread: Meet Con, my subconscious

I'm going to be talking today about a method for dream control, fun, and finding a comforting friend and companion in your dream adventures.
And his name is Connor. Con for short. Subconscious for long. Even Connie for a girl if you like. Whatever you call him, her or it, Connor is your best friend in the dream world. He's the first face you notice when you become lucid. For me he likes to use my face, but he can change it whenever he wants. He is an extension of you, with genie like powers over your dream. Your wish is his command. This method is definitely my favourite type of dream control. It gives you a great way to connect with yourself, and lets you feel that you really have a companion in your dreams. He's always willing to lend an ear, and for me definitely has a fair amount of cheek on him, but through him, all of your dreams will feel homely and comfortable.

Some of my favourite abilities of his include:
Being invisible to all but me
Rewinding, pausing and speeding up time
Superpowers, but not just the clumsy attempts of the dreamer to emulate them. When I control the ground, it's with my mind, and I just happen to use my hands as well. But when he does, the ground knits itself perfectly into intricate structures in perfect sync with his hands.
