      Yes, I'm lazy

Even though I've known about DV for a long time, I've never really bothered to look into WILD until recently. Problem is that I've become lazy in writing down my dreams into my dream journal, and haven't done so for probably a year, and I don't have good dream recall anymore. I just wanted to know if it is possible for me to master WILDing with enough practice without having to go through the trouble of picking my journal back up again.
      Thanks for the help.

      Yes, tekkendreams I know that.
I guess to be more specific about my question i should have said:
Is good recall REALLY necessary when attempting/accomplishing a WILD?

If you want to remember your possible lucid, then yes. But if you don't want to remember it then recall isn't necessary.

Motivation and recall go hand in hand. With proper motivation, recall comes naturally. Recall, therefore, can be used as a measure of subconscious motivation. More importantly, with proper motivation, one can wake up directly after the lucid has ended. The poorer your recall (a result of serious motivation adn dedication) the less likely you are to wake up after your wake-induced-lucid-dream, and the less likely you are to remember said dream. It'd suck to WILD at 4:00 and not awaken until 7:00 (after the dream has ended and erased), wouldn't it?

Thats interesting point. Motivation and recall. You are pretty true. If I dedicate time to lucid dreaming, it pays back. The recall really increases. But how to build a motivation in a ever doubting mind? Sometimes the brain is in condition: Yes and sometimes it is in condition: Why should I.

But still. Even when mind doesnt want. If we give it time to think about LD at the evening. It increases the probability of remembering dreams drastically. And the key would be, to become a partner with the brain. To respect its actuall mood and not to force it. Just to offer alternatives and wait for it to catch, and to align.
