journals are only for recall , if u have good dream recall no need for journal |

Even though I've known about DV for a long time, I've never really bothered to look into WILD until recently. Problem is that I've become lazy in writing down my dreams into my dream journal, and haven't done so for probably a year, and I don't have good dream recall anymore. I just wanted to know if it is possible for me to master WILDing with enough practice without having to go through the trouble of picking my journal back up again. |

If you want to remember your possible lucid, then yes. But if you don't want to remember it then recall isn't necessary. |

Motivation and recall go hand in hand. With proper motivation, recall comes naturally. Recall, therefore, can be used as a measure of subconscious motivation. More importantly, with proper motivation, one can wake up directly after the lucid has ended. The poorer your recall (a result of serious motivation adn dedication) the less likely you are to wake up after your wake-induced-lucid-dream, and the less likely you are to remember said dream. It'd suck to WILD at 4:00 and not awaken until 7:00 (after the dream has ended and erased), wouldn't it? |

just buy a tape recorder or something, that's way easier. I don't have a tape recorder myself but i use sound recorder on my computer |

take sketch notes of your dreams rather than writing out the whole bit. I leave MS Word open on my computer at night while I sleep. If some crazy shit happens, I can take ten seconds waking up and typing out a sentence of two into Word, save it, and go back to sleep. When you wake up later, and you look over what you wrote, the key experience will come flooding back into your memory. |

We who are about to dream, salute you!
It's funny... why does a good dream recall help remember LD? |
