Yes i have quite a few times and it can be very convincing and terrifying! |

Yes, often.
Yes, occasionally.
Rarely.
Never.
Do you experience Old Hag? |

All the time.... And for some reason I like it a lot!! |
|
I've seen the old hag once in a dream state...it was really weird because things became erotic and...I won't go into details >_< Just know somehow I morphed her from an old hag into something better. |
|
Things are not as they seem
Since I don't know what it is, I guess not. |

I'm not a fan of the "Old Hag" myth. If I ever get freaked out during SP it's definitely NOT because I think there's some batty old lady sitting on my chest. How strange. |
|
Nope, never experienced it. |

you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I think... I got that once, but it wasn't very scary, it was more like cheesy, it made me laugh. |
|
AIM me if you have time!!!... I'm needy
Holy crap I just had my first LD 11/25/07
Only once.. thankfully. |
|
At least once. I thought a shadowy figure was sitting in bed next to me, first observing me, with clipboard in hand, and then putting "its" arms around me. But the experience was mild. I felt creeped out, but not like it was going to kill me or anything. |
|
I've experienced it once or twice. Though, it hasn't happned to me a while the first time it was really convincing. I would imagine that it is really common for people to expereince this during SP. Though, during those intense moments I can't believe some people like it. |
|
I used to feel a strange presence all the time and get really scared to the point of screaming but wasnt able to(thanks to the SP), but it all ended when i read about it and how other people besides me had the same problem. Now i use my very frequent episodes of sleep paralysis to WILD and i dont get freaked out anymore, instead i get happy |
|
What we see is but an illusion.
Not for me either, I mean in SP I have sensed a shadow or presence but associated that to my girlfriend being in the room, or someone else like a flat mate, never associated it to an 'old hag' |

I used to experience the OLD HAG when I had spontaneous occurences of sleep paralysis in my teens and twenties. It would always start during a dream with a sense of an all pervading evil presence and end with my waking up but being paralyzed and washed with intense vibrations. It used to terrify me when it occured until I read a book about Out of Body experiences by Robert Monroe, I believe. He described something that sounded a lot like what I was experiencing, but he presented it as a method for separating from the body. So I started to look forward to the next occurence. When it happened, even though I still felt terrified, I no longer bought into the terror. I followed Monroe's directions, visualizing my secondary body rising up over my physical one, and then I started to rotate my secondary body. The experience then faded, and I never expereinced sleep paralysis again for almost twenty years. And then 4 months ago I started using galantmine supplements, and I experienced it again at the transition point. However, it was now just an interesting effect. Of course now, I feel real delight rather than terror at the onset of sleep paralysis and the intense vibrations because I know it is my golden oportunity to achieve WILD. Now I'm sweet on the Old Hag. |

Heya, |
|
All my SP experiences have been strange, cool and trippy. Well usually I OBE but I have failed this and stayed in bed. With my eyes open I could lift my dream arms and when I looked at them they were a ghostly transparent. When I tried to move them, they moved about a second later so it was like having a bad mouse. Really wierd... I then proceeded to roll myself up into tape and knocked around on the floor immobilised- but none of it was scary. |

Never. SP for me, if experienced while anything less than fully asleep at all, is always a feeling of distortions and sinking with my eyes closed. No feeling of something pushing down on me, or some evil presence. |

No dream goals at the moment...just flying and letting stuff happen is kinda fun, and it's hard to motivate myself to try LDing lately.
Never, But now i've read this, I probably will... |

You reveal that a reveal check reveals nothing.
no but sometimes i'm afraid to LD because i might conjure sumthin scary. |

I've never experienced sleep paralysis until I learned about lucid dreaming... I guess that means I've never had the chance to get freaked out by sleep paralysis (perhaps conjuring the old hag image through the fear). I only feel good vibrations, followed by intense dream imagery. Never something scary. |
