      Is it wrong to dream?

If you think about it, what is sleep? A time where our minds shut down for the night so we can rest and think properly in the morning. When we're dreaming, aren't our minds still semi-concious? (I can't spell ) It's the only part of sleep that we actually need to survive.

I'm a little confused with what you're saying here. It's our subconscious that for the most part is active during dreams, but our consciousness is also at work when we are lucid and aware of our dreams surroundings.

What do you mean by your question "is it wrong to dream?"

Any kind of dream, your mind doesn't shut down completely, so sleep doesn't do what it's meant to do to the fullest.

But we are supposed to dream... And we do dream, every night. Some even say we would die if we didn't dream. When we dream (and not dream) our sleep is doing what it's supposed to do. It's not wrong to dream, it's very right.

What sleep is meant to do is restore your body and soul!

When you sleep, wounds heal faster. Restoring your body.
When you dream, problems get solved faster. Restoring your mind.

Your brain is way more active during sleep, than when you are awake.

Without dreams or sleep, you'll go insane and die after a while.

Oh.... Well, for the past few weeks, I haven't been getting any dreams, not even a non-lucid. Is that bad?

You always have dreams, you just can't remember them.. what you need to do is tell yourself you will remember your dreams before you go to sleep.. I had the same problem but not anymore

You have been dreaming, you just don't remember it. We dream every time we are in REM sleep, so no need to worry about that.

You just haven't been remembering your dreams. Everybody dreams every night. It's remembering them that's sometimes a chore.

And no, not remembering your dreams isn't bad for you.

Wouldn't you go insane if you didn't dream, or is that sleep?

I don't see why it matters, even if it is wrong... If it's something that you enjoy and it's not hurting anyone else, you might as well do it...

dash, dreaming is where all of your suppressed emotions can surface freely, and bottling that up would make you go insane. there have been experiments where people have been continually woken up as soon as they enter REM, and the result was that the "subject" recieved brain damage over a period of time.
I need my sleep. I need about eight hours a day, and about ten at night.

If I'm correct, we always dream in our sleep.

Nonetheless, you could do with 10 times 15min-sleeps, but I reckon your body will get used to that too and just shift your REM to an earlier fase.
