Does being sick afect your ability to have LD's? I was sick all week and I couldn't remember any dreams. Is this normal? |

While it is not written to stone that it would affect, there is a high chance for it. Being sick usually affects negatively to everything you do. If you had high fever, I doubt you had very good sleep either. |

Jujutsu is the gentle art. It's the art where a small man is going to prove to you, no matter how strong you are, no matter how mad you get, that you're going to have to accept defeat. That's what jujutsu is.
When I get really sick, I get insane disturbing dreams, but If I am mildly sick, it hurts my recall |

"Dreams are as portals. Flat visions of misty places. But I can write dreams!" - Myst Uru
It depends, if you have a fever that can have a mild to severe effect on your sleep pattern and dreams. Oftentimes people can feel delirious and have extremely vivid rather disturbing dreams (personally that has happened to me). |

Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken...-Tyler Durden
When I'm sick, my nose is plugged and my throat is sore. This makes it near impossible to WILD and decimates my recall. It sucks. I'm just getting over a cold right now |

Dreaming while running a fever can lead to more vivid, and wild dreams. The problem comes in recall. While sick, you tend to oversleep. Oversleeping leads to a lot of waking up at odd hours, etc. which makes dreams shorter. As lucid dreams go, I can't say I've ever had a lucid while running a fever. I am of no use in that subject. |
|
When you're sick you usually sleep more right? When I sleep more I remember less. Probably something to do with sleep cycles. |

I don't know about LD's, but I've also experienced some quite vivid dreams while sick. And when awake, while running a fever, my mind has a tendency to go into like daydream hyper drive... I sometimes continue talking to the lady in the TV commercial several minutes after it's gone. lol |

As the pattern gets more intricate and subtle,
being swept along is no longer enough.
Seriously, I don't have a clue. I'm sick very sparingly, and haven't been sick since I started on dream recall. I think the dreams are more vivid, but harder to remember |
|
I usually blame bad recall on being sick if youve ever read my DJ ive said it 2 or 3 times, but its probably not me being sick, its just me mfinding an excuse |

I just started getting really sick a few days ago like high fever and vomiting and all that fun stuff. I had the worst nightmare i've ever had in my entire life I'm pretty sure. Since I stayed in bed almost two days in a row I just kept falling asleep and going back into the same vivid, disturbing dream. It was so messed up I can't even explain it, but everything was in chaos even the very laws of physics, thermodynamics, mathematics, language and other basic laws. When I would wake up it felt like I was still in the dream. I felt so delusional because I couldn't seperate this dream world from my normal waking life. Definetly one of the worst dreams ever. |

I've had dreams like that, although not when I was sick. The dreams where tons of crazy stuff happens and when you wake up it is like, woah, am I still dreaming? |

Fever dreams are generally messed up. It's not that you can't remember them, it's that they are too difficult to describe. See this thread: |
