My reasons for lucid dreaming are many and I could probably write several pages worth of content about it if I wanted to, but I'll try keeping it short: |
|
My reason is some curiosity...fun and enjoyment, but mostly I like the idea of being able to control something in my mind that most people just look at as random and have nocontrol over. Its something to explore that really hasno boundries. People take up hobbies and what not to keep themselves busy throughout life and I say why not chose something that once youve mastered you can do any other hobbie that people spend years doing in a night? |

i like to learn and experiment, and lucid dreams are definitely a very fascinating tool to learn of the mind, memory and the unconscious. |

`Take some more tea,' the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
`I've had nothing yet,' Alice replied in an offended tone, `so I can't take more.'
`You mean you can't take LESS,' said the Hatter: `it's very easy to take MORE than nothing.'
My reason to LD is to have fun, to do things i know will NEVER happen in real life, plus my ADDITEN TO DRAGONS! i love em, at least in LD i can ride one, play with em, or simply fly away from earth into the heavens! |

I think its because people enjoy the feeling of being in a dream. I think a friend of mine put it best, when I asked her why she smokes grass she said something to the effect of "the feeling of being in a dream, is a good feeling, and smoking cannabis can produce that effect, more or less. |
|
First of all I want to do it for the challenge. I don't remember ever being aware that I'm dreaming, so having a lucid dream would mean that I have learned something I have been unable to for a long time. |
|
Well, I look at the alternative... I'd much rather basically be living another X amount of time each night and being able to do whatever I want than just sleeping, having bad recall, no control over what happens, and the other things that make lucid dreams so much greater than having regular or no dreams. |
|
This entire reality is SELF REFLECTION. You reflect your essence and project it onto the universe.
"Most conversations are just monologues with witnesses."
"Life represents the movement of knowledge across the spectrum of consciousness."
Dreaming is the other side of the mental coin. While awake, perception takes cues from from sensory input. In dreams, it is perception of the mind's inner workings. This throws a wrench in the concept of reality. What is out there and in your head must manifest in your perception. Lucid dream can explore the difference between these realms. |

Make sweet love...
I too love to write and draw (But I suck at drawing and I rush my stories so they have no back story, only a really epic fight) and I would love to use my LD's to explore fantasy-like worlds and do things that you can't do in real life. I want to use it as a stress reliever as well. Too many times throughout the day I feel like punching someone in the face and now I have a chance to do it! Only this time, there's no consequences and I can some add super sweet effects to it. I mean, you can't honestly pass up the chance to literally punch someone's face off, can you? |
