Well can you ever become lucid and just be scared alone by that fact, that its a dream? I know its a dumb question, but ive imagined it could be though, if it was your first time becoming lucid |

"Scared by the dream"? I highly doubt that, my first lucid I was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had, and this dream was a total accident. I didn't know lucid dreaming was possible until then! |

I know, ive been wanting to have them for a long time, but i recently thought about it an i was thinking "what if having a lucid dream could actually turn out to be scary", but its just another stupid irrational fear of mine |
|
Worry not, as you are all powerful in a Lucid dream! |

Do you mean just being scared because you've just become lucid or the content of the dream being scary, such as monsters etc? |

Yeah, not so much just the fact of being lucid, i can imagine that would be an amazing feeling once you realize your lucid. But i mean what if the second you become lucid your mind purposefly creates terrible things and the such just on purpose you know? |
|
I cannot believe people are doubting this. you have to realise that not only do you dream the five senses but many of your thoughts are part of your dream mind even if lucid and the same is true for emotions. |
|
I've only had 3 LD's so far so not really qualified on how the dream world reacts once you're aware of what it is, but mine were generally run of the mill places such as work or at home so there was no scary things in them. I would be interested in what would have happened if I'd have opened a door wthout full expectation of what was going to be on the other side. Hopefully, I would like it to be what I expect rather than the unexpected, but who knows! Others can perhaps tell you what might happen if you had a pretty open mind whilst exploring the dreamscape. And don't forget, as a general rule, what you expect to be there should be, but if not and it's something you don't like, then pay it no attention by turning around or looking away and it should cease to exist ( i think ) |

Oh so you meant get scared on lucids, not of lucids, of course it can happen and I actually like it, of course thats only me <.< |
|
Yes. It can happen. It's happened to me a couple of times. Usually it's the other way around, where I will be having a dream that suddenly turns itself into a nightmare, and then I'll become lucid - but every now and then, I'll be having a dream, become lucid, and then weird shit will start happening as if my subconscious is actually trying to freak me out. |

It happens to me. Not often, but it still does. |

Bollocks.
I think ill just try to remember that "This is all just an illusion created by my your mind and that it isnt real" and hopefully that should be enough to not even be scared by the biggest things (hopefully) lol |

Lol man what's wrong with you? I'm not accusing you of anything or attacking your personality. |

Sometimes I get lonely, which can be a little scary. Then I realize how silly I am and get on with something else. |

White girl, you can ask her what the dick be like
And monster madness doing drive-bys on a fuckin fixie bike
Fuck it moron, snortin oxycontin, wearin cotton,
Oxymoron like buff faggots playin sissy dykes
Of course you can get scared in a lucid dream, just like how you can get scared in a regular dream. But that shouldn't be a reason to fear lucid dreaming, since in a scary lucid dream you know that it isn't real and you know that you are almighty. If anything, a scary LD should be less scary than a regular scary dream. |
|
Of course there are scary lucids. Sure, you may (or may not...) be in control while lucid, but that doesn't mean unexpected and sometimes scary things won't continue to happen around you anyway. It's still the dream world, lucid or not. |

"Take atheism, for example. Not a religion? Their pseudo-dogmatic will to convert others to their system of beliefs is eerily reminiscent of the very behavior they criticize in the religious."
Scary lucids are very much possible. |
