      Forgotten Lucid Dreams?

Do you ever wake up from a dream and think that you may have been in a lucid, but can't remember the dream? That was my case last night. My older daughter woke my up crying in her room. She sounded quite frightened. I didn't hesitate to get up and run to her. I ended up spending about 10-15 minutes with her before I went back to sleep.

I lay back in the same position I was in when I awoke, and I just felt that I had an epic dream, or possibly even a lucid. But I could not remember the dream. It was right there, but not close enough to remember anything significant! Does anyone else experience this, where they may have had a lucid dream, but can't remember it?

Yes! It is so annoying. I had a lucid but I can only remember 2 seconds of it. It makes me really mad.

Happens to me too often where I remember that moment of lucidity, and looking at my hands, but not the rest of the dream

the trick is to wake up directly after an LD and not loose lucidity
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

The REAL trick is to tell yourself in your dream, "I am in a lucid dream. I am lucid. I am looking at _____. I will remember this sight/sound/feeling/situation/character/whatever when I wake up."

I nearly forgot one of my lucids. In fact, I was attempting to get back asleep to try again to have an LD, when I remembered I'd just had one.

I was both really happy I'd remembered it, and really annoyed at myself for nearly forgetting it.
