I want to know how many of you out there have used (or would like to use) lucid dreaming for actual enlightenment and what that experience was like. I personally believe dreams in general can be very enlightening and lead to genuine insight into real life problems. I believe lucid dreaming offers the potential to lessen the chance element of this process. |

well, I consider each time I gain lucidity in dreams as a sort of "mini enlightenment" |

Glad you enjoyed it! Dreams have influenced a lot of my artwork as well; even more so now that I'm improving my lucid dreaming skills. |

Hm, does studying on them count as enlightenment? I sometimes do that, or to study some kind of problem, or simply study nature of some theorys, of course I never write those down on internet <.< |

I do. It's helped me learn to pay attention to myself more and listen to my inner voice. |
|
Yes! That is exactly what I look for in dreams. I love to see how my mind makes new connections between seemingly unrelated things. Even if I can't find a direct use for the connections, I know it is useful to take notice of them and file them away for later. |

Although it doesn't happen that often, i think i've used lucid dreaming to solve difficult problems i've been working on for my job, sometimes seeing the problem and all it's elements as a clear visual structure in my dream, and i'm able to move it around and manipulate it freely. Then i find the next day i go to work and suddenly can solve the problem. |

I have been thinking about this topic a lot recently actually.. see i'm a musician, and i have heard stories of people writing beautiful songs in thier dreams, then actually creating them in real-life.. i have always wanted to just start playing my guitar or piano in a lucid dream i have, and hearing how it comes out.. but i havent ever tried it yet.. i should try soon. |

Have you ever had a dream... that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?
Back when I first learned of lucid dreaming I remember reading an article about some 18th century musician named Giuseppe Tartini that wrote a song that he had learned from a dream. The song is called the Devil's Trill and is in my opinion worth checking out; it's haunting and beautiful. |

I do believe getting the right sleep is the key to efficient learning. Even in deep sleep, I will occassionally become aware that my mind has been chattering on about [insert math/chemistry/spanish topic here]. I'm curious to see how effective studying in a lucid dream would be. |

I wish I could enlighten myself in lucid dreams. |

in a recent lucid I had a big golden light appear and tell me stuff. I don't recall the exact words/content but it was the type of stuff you expect benevolent bright lights to tell you, |
