      Lucid dreaming is draining?

I'm not sure why, but if I have a lucid dream, when I wake up, I'll feel tired, sometimes even more tired than I was when I fell asleep. Is there any reason for this and is there a way to prevent it?

You are probably stressing so hard in your dream to keep the dream alive that your mind gets no rest. When you first start i can imagine you being more tired because of this. But once you start to get better and more relaxed in your dream i'm sure you will be fine.

I agree with C9, I used to feel tired when I first started. Now it feels like I get more rest when I lucid dream.

This. I used to get excited so I'm guessing my mind was more awake. Now I feel 3x as good when I wake up from a lucid.

It's a coincidence. Lucid dreaming is still dreaming, your mind is comfortably asleep, do not worry. As of now there's nothing to suggest that it's another way around. With so many people practicing lucid dreaming seriously such a thing would've immediately become known if it was true and was universal.

it's energy tiring for people that aren't used to it, in my case I had to raise my vibration level before falling asleep to recall my dreams better , but doing that on regular basis before falling asleep really makes feel tired on the next days. I think it's due to the factor of being relaxed while becoming concious, when you become concious in a dream you can start conecting to your body somewhat, if you aren't relaxed you might stir your body a bit while sleeping.
      Are you dreaming?

I have noticed that sometimes one does end up more drained, but others more refreshed than normal. Mostly there is no effect. I have no idea why.
