I ate a baked potao, apple juice, and a bannana, and my recall got worse?

Some lucid dreaming site said baked potatoes, bannana's, and apple juice will help dream recall, and make dreams more vivid.
Well, for dinner I had chicken, corn, and a baked potato. Earlier in that day, I had a bananna with some apple juice.
I was also doing many RC's very frequently.
I went to sleep that night, very excited, thinking of LDing.
But when I woke up in the morning, I could hardly remember anything. Only one little fragment of something that wasn't very clear. Do you think I over did it?

Statistically, one night isn't really enough to prove anything one way or another. It's just as possible that you had bad recall by chance than because of what you ate.

I suggest that you keep going with your techniques (RCing and whatever else you do; I suggest MILD if you do RCs but that's just my advice) every day for at least a few weeks before you come to any conclusions. Building recall and getting lucid are both skills that you need to practice, so remember to give it a little time to grow.

P.S. You can never overdo thinking about LDing or RCing!

Okay, so far today I've been doing plenty of RC's.
      I hope I have a LD tonight!

And, thank you for clearing that up for me.

I also heard that these foods improve dream quality, but it doesn't guarentee anything. It's more likely that you overdid it, which can actually have an adverse effect on recall.
