      Dream within a dream

Had my first lucid(s) last night after only a little over a week of trying but the thing that made me lucid was going into a dream from a dream. The first level I didn't know was a dream but once we went into an induced dream, I knew I could control it. It was great. But once I woke back to level 1 I still didn't know that was a dream so I induced another. My question lies in the fact that after your first, It gets easier, but since I took the inception like route instead of using rc's and dream signs, is it really going to be easier or did I just get lucky? Be honest. It won't keep me from continuing trying either way.

      Congrats on your lucid!

Not sure if there are levels of dreams, but I used to get lucid for DILD by deciding in a regular dream to go to sleep and wake up lucid. If it was really that way, I have no idea. All I know is, that it worked.

Intent is one of the most important components in getting DILDs and you may have gotten lucky because you are just one week into your trying and I assume still very enthusiastic. Keep this excitement, but add RCs, mantras and awareness training to keep the ball rolling. Happy dreams

I thought inception was imossible, but i think i do know that the perception of inception is possible, but when you're lucid, you can make inception because you believe in the percecption of inception
      true?
What is today's last week's next week's yesterday's the day after?

I don't think its possible unless done on a DC but even then your only convincing a projection of ur subconcience. I don't mean necessarily dream levels but I went into a dream from my dream. it was just a reference. I do rc's practice ada and perform mantras every day constantly questioning reality. Just after I performed a WILD and was creating like crazy but I did too much to fast. My confusion simply lies in the fact (and fear) that I can't realize, nor do I have any control (as simple as lookin at my hands), unless I do something dream involved in a dream

I remember that in a dream like this was the first time i got lucid. In my dream i was chasing someone, and i remembered from the movie "Inception" that we could go to chase her in her dreams also, so i layed on the street and started dreaming. When i appeared in the "second" dream i was lucid instantly and of course it seemed as if it was a second level.

Answering to your question, you just got lucky on this one, since you maybe were thinking a lot about inception and you dreamt about it. However you experienced a lucid dream, and now you know what it's like. In my experience, every night i tried to reach the point of lucidity in my dreams and i wished it happened the same way, but it didn't. However i got lucid more times and never again with this "technique" (luck). I guess that all day awareness is going to be very helpful. When you understand the technique it's going to be very helpful not only to have lucid dreaming, but also to get more focused in life (at least for me and many others).

Ok, then it may not have been just a happy accident, if you practice all that. Then I would say, your practice had paid off. Keep it up. And you will find other ways of becoming lucid than just doing something dreaming related.

First you realize you are in a dream, and then you decide to look at hands or do another RC to confirm. Sometimes these two events are so fast after each other, it's hard to say, which one was first. So just keep practicing and keep being happy about it and soon your training will get you lucid.

And you don't always have control in a lucid dream. Happy dreams

Same for me. I use some technique for a couple of times and then I "remember" in a dream another way and use that for a few times, untill I "remember" some other way. Have no idea, why it is like that.

Thanks I hope hard work paying off is the case. I am/was so intent on lucidity and the possibilities of the mind my dream control was flawless (though I cared alittle too much about my dc's having fun with me). I'll never lose my devotion especially with this site and you positive people at my disposal.
