Lucid dream within the dream of a dream?!(Warning: Contains madness)

Okay, so I had a couple lucids the other day, and they came in a strange fashion.

So the dream was this: I woke up(in the dream), but I was in my mom's bed, she wasn't there, and then I went back to sleep. I wake up again(in the dream) and I bend over to look at something on the bed(don't remember what it was) and I realize I can't bend over this far in this direction and I must be dreaming(that is, I'm having another dream within the original dream.) Then I feel this really fuzzy soft feeling on the side of my face and I twist around, and then I wake up(in the original dream), and I'm still in my mom's bed, and my dog has apparently rested his face on mine.

So I go back to sleep and wake up again(in the dream) and my dog isn't there, but the door is closed, so I realize I'm dreaming again, and I start to get out of bed, and it looks great. Nothing is hazy, everything is clear, it's awesome. But that dream ends in about five seconds and I wake back up in the original dream. Shortly after I wake up in real life feeling extremely confused.

So to sum it up: I went to sleep, had a dream, then had a dream in that dream, became lucid, woke back up into the first dream, then went back into the second dream, became lucid again, but woke back up in the first dream, and then woke up in the real world. Now all I need is a Goddamn talking cat and and a homocidal queen to pop up and I'll consider changing my name to Alice.

      Any thoughts?

lol I consider those are tons of fun. I remember once being in a dream of a dream of a dream of a dream, it was frustrating to wake up that many times until I truly woke up, then for a weird reason it became a funny dream <.<

I've gone halfway through an entire day then woke up and had to do it all over again... That was probably my most annoying dream sequence... although when I was working part time I used to work a night, then go to sleep dream about working all night then wake up and go to work for a day.. it was crushing!

False awakening chains can get preaky (pretty freaky) after a while. Just don't let 'em get to you. Try stabilization techniques to keep you in the same dream setting.

      LMAO!!!

A friend of mine once received his exam results. He woke up and saw his mobile phone lying beside him with the "1 message received" alert (SMS service, lol). He opened the message and found that he got 4 A+'s, so he got excited and woke up to find that it was a dream .

He then found the mobile in the same position with the same alert, so he opened it to find that he got 4 D's, so he got angry and woke up to find that this also was a dream .

He found the mobile in the same position AGAIN with the same alert, opened it to find that he got 2A's, 2B's, and guess what, he woke up again!!!!

And, when he FINALLY returned to the real world, he found that he got 2 A+'s, an A and a B. He was angry because the first dream killed the excitement .

haha this happened to me... pretty freaky your right! tho i laugh at it now

      right..

went to bed... within about 20 minutes accidentely, i fall into Sleep paralysis...

(strong vibrations, some discomfort) so i try and calm my self and have some fun with it.. sure enough eventualy buzzing slows down to peacefu rate and i can feel myself spinning around in the darkness..

now im settled i try to go into a Lucid Dream whilst in SP. This fails and i fall into a normal dream without knowing...

i then realise in the dream somehow, that im dreaming and instantly take off from the ground into the air...

this wakes me up out of the dream nut only back into SP

now im back in SP.. and not liking it. i try to wake up from the loud buzzing and heavy lathargic feeling by moving my hands slowly..

      eventually whooop bang. im awake!

i grab my gfs fone from the bed side table to light up and see whether ive been moving around whilst i was dreaming.. and realise hey.. my gf just msgd half an hour b4 i went to bed.. from her house??

      I wake up again!

in my bed... now im thinking haha shit that was crazy.

anyways when i go to get out of bed i feel heavy still and i start falling into my bedside table slowly in slow motion... huh!? i must dreaming again!

      wake up

and this time im really awake.. but a little shakin

      haha loopy story i kno

I had this dream last week where i woke up and my mother came to me and asked what i was doing, only problem was that my real mother happened to be in turkey at the moment.

LD collapsed very soon after i noticed this, i woke up in 4.57 am only to go back to sleep, see some dreams and wake up again 4.57.
I could not get rid of self-awareness for rest of the night, in the end i got bored with trying to actually wake up to prevent tiredness next day(exam week and all that)(dream logic).

In the positives side i was able to easily chance the environment with "my eyes open".

They're definitely all new dreams that just carried off from one another; it's physically impossible to actually be dreaming inside a dream (like in Inception). I've had a chain of false awakenings before, and they were pretty much like what you described. It's not very fun if you aren't lucid.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
