*This turned out kind of long, this post is an outlet for my endless ontological thoughts. If you have the time and an open mind, then please keep reading! I have included my own interpretations and opinions near the end of the post.*
Lately my thoughts have been dominated by what "unified consciousness" means. It is the main tenet of many many religious philosophies like Buddhism, ect. "Everything is connected", "reality is consciousness", "separateness is an illusion", ect. It is also hinted at through the legendary Double Slit experiment where outside of observing measurement, a particle of matter exists as a wave of potential states, which collapses into one whenever it is measured. One interpretation of this result is that consciousness is nonlocal, meaning that what we observe as reality is just as "conscious" as we are, and outside of that everything exists as nothing more than a wave of probability.
It is a very hard thing to try and explain but Dr. Quantum does it very well in this vid if your interested.

Anyway, consciousness as we experience it is dualistic. An observer observes. Whether it be a thought, place, other person, or experience. Both are required in how we experience consciousness. Considering this, the question "What does unified consciousness mean?" becomes incredibly mind bending.
I kind of feel like this is something that the human mind isn't capable of understanding. Like the concept of higher dimensions, the big bang, infinity, integral Calculus ( lol jk ), ect. If it exists, then it exists in a non-dualistic state, a single point of awareness. That is a completely foreign and unfamiliar idea.
I have my own ideas and theories based on my experiences (OBEs and LDs) but this post just concerns the scientific facts about the matter. I believe that string theory fits into this framework (even though it hasn't been experimentally verified). It states that subatomic particles of matter are not small "billiard balls" of matter, but a enormous amount of energy emanating from a certain vibrational signature of a "plank string". These vibrations occurring within a six dimensional volume determine every particle, force, and constant we see in the universe. This doesn't seem like a unlikely scenario after watching sand dance into complex and intricate patterns when exposed to different frequencies like in this vid.

This may be a stretch, but I think that every possible configuration of matter, energy, life, and consciousness (+ things which are dimensionally defined, like time) that can exist within 11 dimensions... does... simultaneously. My hypothesis:Unified consciousness exists in a state where it is experiencing every reality possible at the same time. In this way, it can relate to and learn from itself in every way (such as in our fragmented reality). Also, what a amazing way for consciousness to discover itself and learn whenever it must come to terms with its own seemingly end of existence.
This is a great vid about string theory and parallel universe theory.

I would love to hear some other perspectives and opinions about this beautiful idea.
