Chinese Horoscopes - The Monkey |

I'm a metal cock. Apparently, I'm a pretty big dick so it must be accurate. |

You seriously think that everybody born within the same year has the same personality characteristics? Seriously? Did you think critically about this for even a second? |
|
Actually, what I was thinking was, if there is a claim, then I want to know more about the sources of that claim. I've heard from different sources that chinese astrology was accurate. So I wanted to know what was DVs experience with chinese astrology and if members here found it accurate or not. |

You went to school, right? |

But I'm still curious |

Wait! I see a pattern!! |

What is the point of astrology anyway? To tell you what your personality is? I never got it to be honest. Why can't everyone just figure this out for themself? And yes, this is a serious question. |

From what I got from the Year of the Rabbit book, astrology carries the belief that certain opportunities in your life open up to you based on heavenly activities. So its not so much about your personality, as it is looking out for opportunities. While other activities during this time should be avoided. For example, for the Year of the Rabbit, I should be careful with how I spend my money, especially if I'm moving (which I am). I should seek out a career change or learn a new skill (which I am). I should be quick to take on a new job opportunity, even if it is training. All in all, a good year to learn something new and make more money. |
|
Or maybe it shouldn't be called astrology because it doesn't seem to be based on the stars or planets at all. When I said I liked the zodiacal astrology better above I meant the one with capricorn, aries, taurus, gemini, etc.. |
|
I think the psycological characteristics is more accurate. |

Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake
I don't really understand it, to be honest. But I do know that it isn't everyone in the same year. Each year is also one of the five elements, but I never did understand the Chinese five elements either with wood and metal. Also each year is split further, but I don't know much about it. I should research it. To tell you the truth, I don't really like Chinese astrology. The zodiacal astrology makes much more sense since at least every single person is unique in that system. |

I have researched a little about Chinese astrology since my last post and I found out that my, and Xei's perception of it is wrong. Every year has a general influence, this is true, but, it IS also based on the stars at the time of birth and the planets and so each person is unique just like in Western Astrology. Those place mats in Chinese restaurants gave me a false impression of Chinese astrology. It is quite a complicated system. |

Somebody who is born in a certain year for example wooden dragon that does not signify his personal horoscope. |
